Smart questionable for game 2 with thigh contusion

This sucks. And it stinks.

If Smart can’t play, DW is gonna have a lot on his plate. Time to step up in a big way.

I’m really excited to see our adjustments for the next game. I absolutely hate long periods off between games, and I feel like it does our stars no good (particularly Tatum, throws his rhythm).

This is still our series to lose. Pressure is on Ime and the guys to adjust.

Just remember, we blew Milwaukee out in game 1 of the 2019 series.

Well then you'll enjoy the time off after Game 2 lol
It's just so dumb! Why is the NBA so intent on throwing off the rhythm of the playoffs?

No Smart and White goes 0-6 and the Celtics win by 23.

The offense was so stagnant in the 2nd half. If White ever breaks out of his slump and the offense gets some kind of rhythm this series cam be over pretty fast because the defense has been incredible.

I have no idea what to make of our chances.  Overall, I like them, based upon how we've played since January or so.  But, what did we learn in Game 1 or Game 2?  Not a ton, other than that in any given game we can look amazing or horrible.

I think we learned that this team can bounce back after a bad game. That their defense is still unbelievably good, even without a DPOY playing. That Ime Udoka can make great playoff adjustments and is probably a great complete coach based on his regular season and playoff success. That the Celtics can still blowout even the best of teams in the playoffs if their offense plays properly.

And thought those were good things I learned in this game.

The key will be the next two at Milwaukee. If they can steal one there, I think the C's will be in a great spot. If MIL takes both, yeah it's over. I have faith this team can steal a game on the road. My prediction, I actually think the C's will take Game 3. Typically in these kind of scenarios you think the home team wins Game 3 to go ahead 2-1, then the road team is desperate and can take Game 4. I see it the other way in this series. I kind of think the days off will benefit the C's who played a lot of minutes Game 2 and obviously it gives Brown, Timelord and Smart a bit more time to rest

This is kind of the story of the entire season, not just this series.  What did we learn from 4 games against BKN?  We swept them but it didn't feel like a sweep.  All the games were close, there was drama that may have affected BKN.  Post sweep, we get beat by MIL, then come back and win decisively, but the decisive win didn't feel like a decisive win.  We were the best team in the league for over half of a season but it didn't feel like we were the best team.  Other teams were undermanned, there was always some caveat.

Of course we now need to win at least 1 in MIL but somehow, I feel there is more pressure on MIL to win them both.  It feels to me we are more likely to win 1 than they are to win 2, but we shall see.  I have decided to forego specific predictions for this post season.  We made the necessary adjustments and got a big win.  Now MIL will be making their adjustments.  I look for them to try and force Smart and White to be the scorers.  Grant will likely still see his share.  Smart coming off an injury and White has not made a shot in weeks (or so it seems).  MIL has to hope that Grant won't continue to shoot 58% from 3.

And MIL will likely continue to try and get fouls on RWill and Horford.  Giannis is going to get every call, especially at home.  If Rob or Al end up in foul trouble, we will have to play Theis.

This man's more eloquent about basketball than I could ever be.

He's a huge fan of the Celtics' current chances, especially considering this podcast only covers other teams during the playoffs - as it's normally a Lakers podcast. Go figure.

Anyway, he explains really well why we're the better team.

Several days between games is good, man. I need the rest, too. These games are stressful.

With MIL scoring 92.5 PPG vs their season average of 115.1 PPG, we should win this series as long as we don't have 3 more games like Game 1, which was historically bad.

I want to see games every other day.  I don't like this long break between games.

Gotta hope we don't have Tony Brothers or Scott Foster in Game 3. They will eat the C's alive
