Tatum and Horford are out tonight.  Rest of rotation (sans Rob) are likely playing (although Smart is listed as probable.)

Makes sense.

If Tatum and Horford are sitting, we're basically tanking. IMO, should've played everyone to try to win this game, then send a skeleton crew to Memphis on Sunday.

Resting niggling injuries from a SEGABABA then.

Well unless we finish 4th and draw Toronto and JB is ineligible for 2-3 games.

The guy that needs the rest the most is JB. But he needs to play for his incentive. Let's see if he tweaks his wrist 2 minutes into the first Quarter.

Yeah, looks like we know which was the organization was leaning. I still wish we’d gone for the win because I’m not worried enough about anyone in the first round enough to give up home court in the second round and potentially the ECF.

I've got to think that Brown has the vaccine by now.

Ime has said everybody can play.
Al has said he's ready to play anywhere (multiple times actually).
Jaylen has has he's eager to play anybody, and has praised the leagues vaccine efforts.

I guess guys could still technically be unvaccinated, but i just don't think they're making those statements if they were unvaccinated. they gotta know how badly they'd be ripped if they make those misleading comments then can't play.

Also Jaylen has a contract incentive for making the second round, so i find it hard to believe he is gonna sit out games even if he was previously unvaccinated (and I don't think he was).

I kind of want to play Toronto just so he can play and we can stop hearing the rumors, or he can not play and I can be disappointed and pick a new favorite Celtic.

I'd still very much like to have HCA in a potential 2nd round series against MIL.  Potential BKN matchup be [dang]ed.

And maybe finals. I’m not sold on Miami making it that far.
Also, we’re not sure who can play in away games if they get Toronto.
Got to beat the best to be the best

Where's my Ric Flair GIF when I need one?

Play to win. Besides, I'm not convinced that Brooklyn is locked in for the 7-seed, anyway.

Mike

I'm with you on this point.
People ask why they would make the statements if vaccinated, why not just say I'm vaccinated?
Ime said healthy players would be eligible. Jaylen missed that game due to health. Al for personal reasons. Stevens wouldn't commit definitely.

I don't want to be a conspiracy nut but...
Maybe Al got or will get vaccinated if that is what it comes down to.
JB, I'm not so sure.

I hope this isn't the case.

There is a 14 day wait after the last vaccine dose before a player is eligible to play in Canada.

OK, 58.3% of us (including me) disagree with "resting" Tatum and Horford but so be it.  I kind of hate to think this way but maybe this kind of treatment makes Tatum feel more like a star.  Or maybe he just has a nagging sore something and just wants a night off.  Hard to know.

I wonder too who the Bucks are going to play.  I am afraid what is going to happen is that they are going to come out with a full team and just smoke us.  But maybe they will rest Giannis or something, to even the playing field.
