Watson, Herbert, Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Matty Ice, Burrow, Russell Wilson

Good lord the AFC is going to be a bloodbath and the Pats will have a really tough time. And there's also a few other QBs like Tannehill and Derek Carr who aren't scrubs either, it's LOADED in the AFC.

So what you're saying is that Matt Jones shouldn't book Pro Bowl tickets this season?

Matt Jones, the Badger of Breaking Bad fame, should be able to book tickets to the Pro Bowl if he so chooses.

Also the Arkansas QB that never lived up to lofty expectations in the NFL as a WR.  The Poor Man's Edelman.

In fairness to me, "Mac" is a stupid name.

Well, to be fair, he has some issues with Johnny Law too.

Well that isn't his name, so there is that.  Just call him Michael Jones.

3x first, a 3rd and a 4th for Watson and a 5th

Jeez.  The trade was officially announced, and Cleveland gave up even more than reported:

HOUSTON TRADES:
Watson, Deshaun QB Clemson
Selection Choice--Round 6, 2024

CLEVELAND TRADES:
Selection Choice--Round 1, 2022; Overall #13
Selection Choice--Round 4, 2022; Overall #107 (from Detroit)
Selection Choice--Round 1, 2023
Selection Choice--Round 3, 2023
Selection Choice--Round 1, 2024
Selection Choice--Round 4, 2024

So, 3x 1st, a 3rd, and 2x 4th for Watson and a 6th

That is such an awful trade.

It's also going to be exacerbated by the fact that they're gonna get a bunk return when they finally do trade Mayfield.

I like this trade if you really do believe Watson is a top 5 QB in the league. It's almost impossible to give up too much value for a guy like that.

I don't like these allegations, Watson's character, or the off-field potential issues.

They've got some good pieces now. They should be able to dominate the run game still and be much more dynamic in the passing game. They also have some of the best edge rushers in the league right now. That is a pretty good team.

Meh.

The Pats playing in the Eastern Division means they don't play against a lot of those QBs and those QBs will have to play against each other since a bunch are in the same divisions.

I still think another 10-7 record and trip to the playoffs are doable.

I am quietly really looking forward to the offence without McDaniels. We've moved on from the fullback position, so I think we'll see some more TE action - hopefully we actually have a plan to use Jonnu Smith's physical attributes as a weird match-up player. Adding a 1st round WR and a 2nd round CB (or vice versa) really appeals to me.

I love fiddling around with the mock draft simulators to see the potential guys we could get.

My latest go has us nabbing: Chris Olave (WR), Damone Clark (LB), Mario Goodrich (CB), Dohnovan West (C), Sterling Weatherford (S), Obinna Eze (T) & Esezi Otomewo (edge). I'm just praying for Chris Olave.

Sounds like Tyreek Hill might be on the move.   Reports are either Miami or Jets.
