Pats are resigning James White to a two year 2.5M deal. Great to have him back.

Looks like it's actually 2/$5 million, which makes more sense ($1.25/year seemed awfully low). Still a good deal:

If White returns as good as he was before the injury, he will be a great weapon for Jones out of the backfield. He was definitely missed last year.

I missed seeing him last year; he's always fun to watch. I hope he's back to his old self.

Patriots just punted arguably our best o lineman to the bucs for a 5th round pick. Clears alot of cap space, but man. There better be something good coming from this.

Brutal. I rate Mason as one of the elite guards in the NFL, Brady is super lucky here.

Better be a signing that's more Matt Judon and less Nelson Agholor that follows.

It's got to be a signing or a trade. That's the only explanation. Mason was the best OL for the Pats, on a great deal, and to disrupt that for a young QB, it's got to be with something big in mind.

(cynical me: knowing BB, the big thing in mind is the 5th rounder we got back that will be spent on a special teams player).

Ha, yeah, I'm anticipating some random punter being drafted and then cut with that pick :P

If the space is used to give us something (anything!) then I'll feel a bit better. But I loved Shaq Mason.

Likely an undersized safety from Rutgers.

Stinks about Mason, though. Really good player. Bill better have something really good up his sleeve.

What do you guys think of the Winovich trade? And why did Winovich barely play on defense this season?

It almost certainly means Pats will draft an offensive lineman with the first or second pick. These are never the exciting picks, but they are the smart ones. That's the one upside....

He never amounted to anything in NE. Lots of the fanbase and media pulling for him, but it didn't happen. Wasted draft pick, unfortunately. Hopefully the guy we traded for brings something.

Sounds like CLE may have listened to me.  Mayfield sounds like he’s done there

Browns and Allen Robinson have reached agreement on a 4-year, $65 million deal that includes $32 million fully guaranteed at signing, per his agent

Wait til they realize the real problem is the guy throwing the football and not the people catching them.

That's a lot of money for someone his age. How much is guaranteed?
