Same draft as Marcus Smart - taken just two spots later. I remember being surprised that he went before Noah Vonleh.

A little surprised he hasn't gotten much of an opportunity the last couple of years as he has been putting up some crazy scoring numbers and he isn't undersized (yeah, I know, his defense). Looks like we have 3 wing shooters to choose from coming off the bench. Let's see if any of them get a chance to prove themselves.

He can shoot 3s, but .389 overall fg % in his 6 year career.  If he doesn't play D, his role should be extremely limited.  He is like Hauser but a 2.

Romeo would have been better than any of these guys.

Romeo would be better than Hauser or Stauskas because he fits into our team's identity better. But we (probably) needed Romeo to get White. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Nesmith and were turned down.

What's Romeo doing over in San Antoino?

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Recovering from an injury.

Probably long term, but if he doesn't improve his shot he'll never be more than an 8th-10th guy in a rotation. Being fragile also doesn't help him. I was fine with unloading him. To me there's a better chance he's out of the league in 2 years vs pulling a Grant Williams and making a big leap.

He just hasn't made any strides forward.  I was hopeful he'd show more this season, now that he's finally had a run of good health (...sort of).  He didn't.  He's still a big negative offensively, and I just don't think his defensive value outweighs that.

Maybe Pop can unlock him.  I don't know.

It’s funny. I officially declared him a bust in his rookie season when he had a few horrible games in the d league. Good players dominate the D league. And, many posters said they’d save that post and rub it in my face when I was proven wrong. I’m still waiting. 😂

You made similar comments about Rob Williams so your opinion on Romeo carries no weight with me.

I hope he can actually shoot. Shooters who can’t shoot (like Carsen Edwards or Nesmith) drive me crazy.

Stauskas has shown he can shoot the 3 at a very good level in the NBA, he is just terrible at everything else and isn't an uber elite shooter so he was out of the league for 3 years.  He should be able to hit shots for Boston, but he shouldn't get any playing time unless the team is down 3 and needs to hit a shot.

you've claimed every C's draft pick is garbage.  wrongly, but still claimed it.

Romeo's no bust.  not staying of the injured list isn't the same.
