sigh, another night of the "gang that couldn't shoot straight".
Tatum - 3-9
White - 1-6
Smart - 2-9

Grant and PP 4-5
doesn't matter if you're combining their attempts and it's less than each of those individuals

That's the problem. The 4-5 guys need more shots than Smart who has more shots than both combined with fewer makes.

So you’re saying PP should be shooting instead of Tatum. Smart is a hair behind Tatum - 3-10 to Tatum’s 3-9z

11 first half turnovers - Celts should be up 10 easily right now.

Will Smart EVER learn to keep the ball out of heavy traffic ?
He just keeps forcing it and forcing it and never seems to learn ....and he is our point guard ?

Will Tatum EVER learn to get the ball out of his hands quickly and before the trap smothers him ? Also does this time and again.

These guys have to see this in film study. Are the coaches making a point of correcting these repetitive mistakes in practice ?

This is why I say the Celts have a lot of talent but one of the lowest basketball IQ's in the league.

Tatum is the leading scorer on this team he should shoot but Smart can't shoot and neither can White. They need to drive the ball and lay off the 3s. That's what I'm saying. I'd rather see Tatum go 3 for 18 than watch Smart shoot. I know that now I say that Smart will hit 3 quick 3s to open the 3rd, or so I hope...  ;)

Great defense in the 1st half, mostly shut down Ja which is job #1.  Need better offense in the 2nd half, take care of the ball and keep playing #1 NBA defense!

just joining the game and only saw the box score.....i take it that nesmith did not distinguish himself as a starter?

I don't think the one wing rotation is going to fly!

Ime needs to keep his rotations. Let one of those deep bench guys start in the 2nd half.

Smart actually needs to limit his entire offense - he shoots too much for a poor-to-mediocre shooter and he needs to stop driving because those usually result in a turnover. Actually he doesn't need to be our point guard. He is great at what he does well, but keeps forcing what he does badly. A competent coach would teach Smart to concentrate on what he does well and limit his mistakes.
