7 man rotation looked good... outside of that, not so much. Wish we had legit NBA players instead of guys like Hauser and Kornet. Thomas looked ok. Nesmith and Pritchard are still not there and then we add two wings that can’t shoot. Yeesh.
Some serious nitpicking there. Two games ago every bench player looked like an All-Star during garbage time.

Don’t know about you, but I don’t have confidence in any of those guys. Hauser, Thomas, Kornet, and the two new wings they just added are G-league players. Nesmith and Pritchard are still not ready. That’s a lot of roster spots for guys you can’t count on.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Pretty good win. Maybe Marcus will finally blossom into Jason Kidd.

I'd like to echo other calling for more minutes for the bench (Theis, Pritch, Nessie)

Rob Williams...  man I can't believe we have that guy extremely low-cost-controlled for 4 MORE YEARS AFTER THIS YEAR. Nearly a candidate for a raise frankly...

Wish they could pick up a vet buyout guy to add to the rotation, but not counting on it. In fairness I count 8 guys we can count on: the Js, Smart, Rob, Al, DWhite, Grant, and Theis. Payton and Nesmith are kind of eh at 9 and 10.

I honestly believe Nesmith is going to make a Grant/Rob-like jump next year. Fingers crossed.

Nice win although expected. This Nets team is not going to be fun to play against when they have all their guys. Hopefully Nets have to go through the play-in scenario and face up against a beast first.

Picked up a game on Cleveland tonight.   Looking for the 4th seed or better.

I hate being behind Cleveland .

Naw, I think it’s fair criticism.  Kornet is really bad. Almost like Brad purposely avoided adding real NBA players, maybe he’s savings donuts for the buyout market.

Yeah they’re gonna be a different team once we get to the playoffs. Fortunately, if we end up in the 4-6 range, we won’t see them until the 2nd round.

Kornet is the 4th string center.

Sure, but there were other big men out there with real NBA experience and skilld, to along with height.  ;)

No it's not. In this game PP looked okay during non-garbage time. Thomas played really well in garbage time the last few times he has been out there. Nesmith played well tonight and his shot is starting to drop. Theis is a grizzled, proven playoff rotation vet.

You don't need much more than a 7-8 man rotation come the playoffs. They have 8 and if either Nesmith or Pritchard step up, they have 9.

The rest don't matter come playoff time. And Brad sacrificed the bench this year to have his top 7-8 next year with the ability to add some bench depth this summer through trading Horford, trading someone into a TPE, free agency and player development.

Kornet is 7'-2", can make 3's and doesn't suck on defense. Like a lot of end of bench guys, he's  got a couple of NBA level skills and the hope would be he can develop enough to contribute regularly to a team at some point.

Ime's rotation is set with Nesmith the odd man out.  Everyone from Nesmith on down is a developmental player - Kornet included. But I think the main reason he was elevated from Maine was he's a warm body who Brad is familiar with.

Kornet was elevated because he was a warm body who was familiar with the system, and they had to by rule sign two players that day to rest of season deals.  They couldn’t wait for other players to shake out.

What are Pritch's advanced stats saying? Feels like he's making fewer turnovers this year

If they an 8th or 7th seed I see them sweeping whoever the 1 seed or 2 seed is when fully healthy. Either Chicago or Miami will be the unfortunate victim.

That means the C's may very likely have to face the 76ers or Bucks but it's inevitable. Any of the 76ers, Bucks, or Nets will be difficult foes.

Somehow I still prefer the 6ers as an easier opponent, but might quickly eat my own words with Harden and Embiid drawing a million fouls.
