Will Al retire? I know he sign for next season but if we win, he may walk off into the sunset to be with his family

I?m sure he?ll think about it, but he looks like he is having too much fun out there not to come back.  I bet he finishes his contract at a minimum.

I do not see Al retiring. He is playing at a high level. He will chase one more title.

Nah, this is the same guy who decided to stay at Florida another year despite being projected as a lottery pick, because he wanted to go for a repeat.

No way he retires if the C's win this one, especially with all the core projected to come back.

Plus he's been pretty healthy the last few years too, mostly missing games just for rest days.

I'd be shocked if retirement was more than a fleeting thought for Al.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Horford's made a ton of money in his career. He still has 9.5M for next season. For a 6th/7th man that's a great value.

I think assuming we don't blow this series, he will still return for at least a year to chase a potential repeat.

The beauty with Horford is that his game doesn't rely too much on speed/athleticism so honestly as a role player he could still theoretically play another 2-3 years if he chooses to.

He?s also practicing the TB12 method, which I?d imagine is to prolong his career.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I'm fantasizing about the beautiful synergy of Al coming back, winning another title next year, and then retiring, just like he did in college.

Gotta say, Al looks fresh as hell.

Contract extension.

Grateful to both Ainge and Brad.

Ainge was a great GM.  The Brooklyn heist.  I still remember watching the Brooklyn games hoping they'd lose when we owned their picks.  Fun times.

Stevens made incredibly smart trades and magical finishing touches to a great foundation in our stars.

This organization exudes excellence.

Yep. And as annoying as Wyc can be at times he has brought in the right guys to turn this franchise around. Credit to him andthe rest of ownership too.
