Nah, this is the same guy who decided to stay at Florida another year despite being projected as a lottery pick, because he wanted to go for a repeat.

No way he retires if the C's win this one, especially with all the core projected to come back.

Plus he's been pretty healthy the last few years too, mostly missing games just for rest days.

I'd be shocked if retirement was more than a fleeting thought for Al.

Horford's made a ton of money in his career. He still has 9.5M for next season. For a 6th/7th man that's a great value.

I think assuming we don't blow this series, he will still return for at least a year to chase a potential repeat.

The beauty with Horford is that his game doesn't rely too much on speed/athleticism so honestly as a role player he could still theoretically play another 2-3 years if he chooses to.
