So if I follow this, the Derrick White trade was a salary wash, no TPE used, no TPE created.
We brought in Theis with the Tristan Thompson TPE.
We created new TPE with:
Schroder $5.9M
Bol Bol $2.2M
Dozier $1.9M
Fernando $1.8M
Freedom $1.7M
Plus keep Fournier at $17.1M
And I am not sure but I think we still have $5.1M left on the Kemba trade TPE.
I am not sure how useful those small ones will be (maybe they are used for buy out acquisitions?) but Fournier ($17.1M) and Schroder ($5.9M) are pretty nice to have (and the Kemba trade TPE at $5.1M if that in fact is still available).
No, we used that TPE to acquire Bol and Dozier so that we could create a $6.9 million TPE for Hernangomez. So our three largest are Fournier ($17.1), Hernangomez ($6.9), and Schröder ($5.9).
Also, the Celtics should have been able to create a $3.8 million TPE for Langford, since Richardson alone ought to have been enough to match White, unless there is a misreported salary somewhere.
OK, so the final summary is:
Fournier $17.1M
JHern $6.9M
Schroder $5.9M
Fernando $1.8M
Freedom $1.7M
Walker $1.0M (remaining)
That is some pretty good flexibility. I doubt that we use them all but they are nice to have. And it seems like every time we use one, it is more we are just rolling it over and starting another one.
