I don’t understand the premise of McCollum, and to a lesser extent levert being available. Pelicans will definitely want to see McCollum play with Zion before turning around and trading him, at least at a cheap cost. Cavs are probably pretty happy with levert and seems like they made a decision to take get him and trade/let sexton go. Collins does seem like he will be available, but I don’t really this thread.

These guys were all just traded except Collins who we know is gettable. Jusy trying to find one more key piece to the Celtics.

Maybe a huy like CJ or Collins can put this team over the top. Do you have any better ideas right now,  share them if you do

Why does anyone think McCollum and LeVert are gettable?  Collins may be, but the asking price at the deadline was reportedly massive, so I'm not even sure I'd call him gettable either.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Pointless thread, trade deadline is passed. Try again after the season.

It's not a pointless thread. Building a championship team is a 365 day a year  job. I won't stop until the job is complete.  Respectfully.

Well, it's irrelevant for at least the next few months and almost completely irrelevant regarding LeVert and McCollum as both will be given every opportunity through to next year's trading deadline to see it they fit into the team's they were just traded to. Even moreso because New Orleans and Cleveland gave up good assets to obtain them.

Perhaps players more likely to be moved at the draft or during the summer would have been more appropriate. Guys like:

Christian Wood
Eric Gordon
Tim Hardaway Jr
Reggie Bullock
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Aaron Gordon
Jerami Grant
Harrison Barnes
Kelly Olynyk
Malcolm Brogdon
Buddy Hield

Nurkic is probably available as part of the fire sale in portland. I don’t want him but Westbrook is clearly available. Wall would still be available. Gordon from the rockets also. Unless the kings make a crazy push their whole roster is probably available. . I just think McCollum is probably not moving for at least a year barring something weird happening.

Based on the moves that the Cs have made I don't think they will trade or sign any players that is a below average defender.  I'm not sure about LeVert but Collins and CJ are below average defensively. Collins is better than he was but would you replace RWill in line ups with him?

I’ve always felt that even excellent defenses can get by with one bad defender.  A great example of this is the 2008 Celts.

If we were playing White / Brown / Tatum / Collins / Timelord, I think our defense would still be quite good.

Have to wonder why every year, Hawks want to dump Collins. That is usually a red flag for me.

Have the Hawks wanted to dump him or is it just media and blog types making up trade rumors? Because if they wanted to dump him I don't think they would have just given him a 5 year $125 million contract.
