Am I the only one who likes these trades so far? WE opened the Roster space and got more of what was working. We still need more than 8 playable guys.

The ONLY think I hate is the pick swap.  Hopefully it has top 8 protections on it.

I like them for the short term only.  I feel more comfortable going into the playoffs with this group.  I think they are horrible long term though!

I think I like.  Definitely like the Theis trade, and am psyched to see Derrick White play.

Now can Brad somehow get a shooter.

Hate it. But then again I’ve hated every move this team has made since 2018.

So bottom line is Schröder (gone next year) and Josh (one more year) for White (three years) and Theis (three years).  I'm good with this gamble.

Long term they need help when Al goes.  I can see Smart traded in the off season with White moving into the starting lineup and the C's trading for Al's replacement.  Lots of flexibility in the off season.

I like both guys coming in the door

I disliked two of the guys going out the door (Schroder, Enes) and felt nothing re: the other two (Richardson, Langford)

So overall I feel pretty good.

Why is everyone so upset about the pick swap? Does anyone think we'll be worse than the Spurs any time soon? Can't we still trade the pick with the swap attatched?

does anyone worry that we might be derailing some of our chemistry and the roll that we have been on?
I guess if the starting 5 stays in place, theoretically we should be able to continue our good play.

No, you are not the only one.

Those are my thoughts exactly, especially with trading Richardson.  I do think Theis is an upgrade over Freedom, but nothing other than that makes sense to me.

The starting five is solid and with White and Theis joining as 6&7 along with Grant they look just as strong to me.

We only moved two guys from the rotation. We're adding one player who's been here before, and another who's been with the coach before and plays a style that should mesh very well (although I wish he shot better).  The chemistry was good, but keeping that starting unit together was most important, and I think a closing lineup of Smart-White-Brown-Tatum-Williams is not going to be fun for other teams to go against.

I'm not convinced that we did anything that upgraded the team, but I don't think we'll have hurt the current trajectory.

I am kind of, Josh seemed to be really well liked in the locker room and played a key role in improving the camaraderie. Tatum posted a few vids on IG of him, Josh, Jaylen, and Grant working out after games, and it looked like they legit had fun together.

The upside though is that Theis was well liked when he was here and White seems like a good guy. We didn't add any headaches.
