Sacramento is now amenable to trading Harrison Barnes, per reports.

Does a Horford and Freedom and picks for Barnes and Len make sense? Could Brad close that deal?

Makes too much sense.... 8)

Makes sense but what does this do to our D?  Al is still a very good D player and rim protector.  Barnes is averaging .7 blks a game.  The office would improve a lot but the D has been so stifling how much of a drop off do we get?  Also, Al does well against Embiid.  I wish we could add Barnes without losing Al.  The TPE is just not enough to add Barnes into it.

I proposed a Horford + pick for Barnes and Len the other day. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Considering how much shooting they just gave up, I'd throw in Nesmith too as a prospect.

Barnes is a solid defender. Doesn't rack up a ton of stats there, but he certainly wouldn't be a weak spot.

Perhaps something like Schroder to Milwaukee for DiVincenzo

DiVincenzo, J Rich, and a 2nd to SAC

Barnes to Boston

I wonder if that would be enough value for SAC. They do need quality wings.

I don't think they would.

What about Richardson + Schroder for Barnes?

Thomas Bryant and spencer dinwiddie into our two tpes then Schroeder to Dallas for a first.

That first and two others from us to Washington.

We can’t trade 2/3 of our bench without getting worse.

Kinda makes the team even less deep, doesn't it?

Probably, but I think it's an upgrade.

Barnes > Richardson

Pritchard can take Schroder's minutes

I'd prefer to move Al, but I don't think Sacramento would want his salary next year.

Sure we can.  Barnes takes Richardson's spot, and Pritchard takes Schroder's.

Peyton Pritchard is not Dennis Schroeder and Harrison Barnes is not so much better than Josh Richardson that we make up that ground.

The drop is perimeter defense here is massive. Pritchard is a liability on both ends because teams know they can press him into turnovers with guards slightly bigger than him. On the other end he can’t defend size or speed.

I love Barnes but anyway we get there, imo, we get worse. We can’t trade Al because we have no big depth.

You have a lot more confidence in Pritchard being able to produce as a playoff rotational piece than I do, that's for sure. Playing the best teams and the best defenders in the playoffs and I think Pritchard becomes a massive liability on both ends of the floor. A liability that could lead to losses.
