Embiid and Harden are not necessarily compatible nor are Simmons and Kyrie!

Harden needs to get his ass back in shape, but those two are very compatible if he does.

Simmons I'm less sure of.  Complete wildcard.

Simmons and Kyrie in the same locker room.  Fun.

On paper, though...

Drummond
Simmons
Durant
Curry
Kyrie

With Joe Harris (if healthy), LMA, Griffin, etc.

Good moves for both teams. Bad for everyone else.

Man Philly kept Maxey and Thybulle.  They are going to be tough as will Brooklyn

Philly
Maxey, Harden, Thybulle, Harris, Embiid
Milton, Green, Korkmaz, Niang, Joe, Milsap

Brooklyn
Irving, Simmons?, Harris?, Durant, Claxton
Mills, Curry, Bembry, Brown, Aldridge, Griffin, Drummond

So Milwaukee has some actual competition in the East now.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

There basically could not be a better place for Simmons, because (if Durant and Irving are healthy) he doesn't need to even worry about scoring.

GOSH are these two franchises eminently unlikable....

Simmons inability to shoot will hinder whatever team he is on.

I mean, you're pairing him with two players who are in the 50/40/90 club and a guy in Joe Harris (if he gets healthy) that's a career 44% 3pt shooter. And Seth Curry. And Patty Mills.

That's about as great of a situation for Ben as there will ever be - on paper, at least.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Well played Morey. Excellent patience in finding the right trade for Ben Simmons and for not settling or 40c on the dollar.

This annoyingly makes both teams better

Philly gets better if Harden is healthy but how is BKN getting better?  Are you sure that Simmons is even going to be in shape and ready to play?

I think thee fake injuries are an issue.  Harden had a sore Hamstring for several weeks.  Let's see how quickly he heals up.  Same for Simmons, too emotionally distressed to play.  I bet he starts feeling much better real quick.

Is it really patience if he probably just texted Harden and asked him to force his way off the Nets?

Personally, Think Brooklyn got the better end of the deal.

I honestly feel nothing.

Don't like any of the players involved, don't like either team.

Two teams I don't like swapping players I don't like.

I like this for Philly but not sure about Brooklyn.  Kyrie and Durant get all the shots they want but Simmons needs the ball in his hands to be the best version of himself.  We will see how this plays out.  Philly on the other hand become instant favorites IMO along side Milwaukee.

the biggest problem is the three shots Kyrie won't take

What's the difference, functionally?

He got what he wanted.  Who cares if he went under the table to do it?  If he did, it's exceedingly unlikely that he'll ever be caught on it.  Frankly, any GM should be willing to pull strings like that behind the scenes if such a move is available to them.
