Latest story is they will discuss the trade before the deadline. So this is probably bad news as it would strengthen both teams. Also seems risky for 76ers cause harden reportedly hates the cold weather and living in New York. Is he gonna line Philly more?

How would that money match?

Wouldn’t be hard.  If they thought the value equal, a couple of minimum salary contracts will do.

I think they need 8 million...

Harden for Simmons and Curry works in trade machine.

Curry is another guy shams mentioned but I feel like he would be really good with harden so kind of tough to give him up. Philly operating from a position of weakness though. If simmons is traded and immediately plays it is a real disgrace and insult to people that battle mental health issues.

I agree and hope he gets called out for it by the media when/if it happens

I haven’t followed the NBA as closely, at least the drama side. How did the Nets-Harden relationship become so sour so quickly?

I think this is fueled by the trade machine fans looking for “We can’t lose him for nothing” trades and reporting pushing that narrative for clicks?

Otherwise Kyrie should be the one looking for new lodging

Harden seemingly doesn't like playing with Irving. He hasn't played nearly as well as was since Irving rejoined the team.

Wow. I. Am. So. surprised...  ::)

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I hope the Sixers sue him for the salary he’s been paid since he claimed mental illness.

They don’t have to. They’re fining him for every game he misses. https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-ben-simmons-fined-19-million-by-76-ers-this-season-could-lose-12-million-more-184639128.html

I have to believe nobody on the team likes him coming in and out of lineup especially when they are struggling.

You just knew Kyrie would eventually poison his latest team.
He gets more creative with each stop.

Does Harden want to come to Boston? Have to think hard about giving up Brown.

According to Woj a source told him Harden wants a trade but doesn't want to look bad in asking for one...wonder who his source is. Woj is careful in separating his speculation from his factual reporting, he was careful to mention that a source told him this, and to report it as fact he must trust this source. Wonder if Morey and Marks will make it happen.

Quote
Although Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden wants a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, he has resisted making that formal request out of fear of the public backlash that would come with asking out of a second franchise in consecutive seasons, sources told ESPN.

Harden is hopeful that 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey secures a trade for him before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET NBA trade deadline, but Morey and Nets general manager Sean Marks have yet to become engaged in serious dialogue on a deal, sources said.

There's still an expectation that the sides will communicate Thursday, and the possibility of a deal remains, but both teams are left measuring the risk-reward of a Harden deal, sources said.

A trade may hinge on Morey's willingness to include assets, beyond exiled guard Ben Simmons, needed to persuade the Nets to unload Harden against the cost of creating the salary-cap space to sign Harden in summer free agency. Philadelphia could re-engage the Nets on an opt-in and trade strategy in the offseason, too.

Durant just "liked" an Instagram post by Woj saying that Harden wants out.  The implosion seems like it's complete.
