One of my favorite trade acquisitions was getting Jae Crowder back in 2014. He was a young guy on his first contract, but playing well in a reserve role. Our young reserves aren't doing so well aside from Grant, but I think getting another one at the deadline would be a good idea. So I searched NBA.com, and found 17 players who a) are 24 or under, b) play between 15-25 minutes, c) have a positive net rating, and d) have played in at least 30 games (so we're not dealing with sample sizes that are too small). These guys are all regular for their teams, but are probably not seen as crucial players and might be available in the next week (there could be an exception or two on the list). Many of them are glue guys.

On that list, obviously recency bias makes me interested in PJ Washington, but his name has been tossed around for a bit, as he might not be in the Hornets long-term plans, having been passed by Miles Bridges and Cody Martin, two players who are reaching restricted free agency and due for large raises. Ty Jerome is another name that could be worth looking at, especially if we trade Schroder. His shooting numbers have taken a hit this year (42% from 3 last year, only 30% this year), but it could be a buy-low opportunity, and the Thunder play 9 points per 100 better when he's on the court (likely due to his defense remaining solid despite his offensive struggles). Anyone on this list you think might be a bargain acquisition?
