Of course, Ime comes out in the postgame presser throwing his team under the bus again.

What he say?

Basically he said our guys choked under pressure and we need better leadership.

"Ime Udoka: “Repetitive result is happening.”

Said it will keep happening if the Celtics don’t make changes. Said they need leadership to stop them from getting rattled."

https://twitter.com/ByJayKing/status/1479287196624601101?t=gHfzwbIaXaky533z1TLM2g&s=19

is coaching leadership??  I guess not.  Then why not just hire someone off of CelticsStrong?  I mean if the coach has no impact on the game, and isn't required to provide any 'leadership' why are we paying Ime so much money?
what  a horrible answer.

“absence makes the heart grow fonder”

Feeling this with Brad right about now with Ime's futility. And it's only made worse by Ime continuously throwing the team under the bus without ever explicitly taking the blame for any of it himself.

Brad went a bit overboard on taking responsibility at times, but to me that's a better fault than Ime's approach. There's a difference between being tough with your guys and constantly putting the blame on them to the media. Time and place for that. Brad didn't do it enough; Ime does it too much.

It's all Ime does. I have never seen him even once say he has to do better himself.

You know what'd be absolutely SICK?

If we could get Mike D'Antoni in.

Just for a year.

See what he can unlock with this squad.

I don't know. The guy sucked when he had to coach Carmelo in NYC and our two stars have a lot of similarities to Melo. I don't think this is a good roster for D'Antoni.

Oh I'm not even after wins.

I just wanna find out if this team can play inspired basketball.

Cuz currently, on offense, it's a stale buncha ball watchers.

7 seconds or less plz.

Haha I literally had this thought during the game. Still need some more shooting, but we'd really fit his system of run and gun offensively.

Hell, keep Ime on as an assistant as the lead defensive coach. That seems more his caliber anyways.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

It's his team. Maybe he should try something different.

New starting lineup: TIMELORD, Tatum, Brown, Richardson, Smart.

BANE, Nesmith and Pritcahrd are all shooters but we traded one for nothing and don't play the other two. If we had more shooters would they play?

Yep, and Hauser too, and we let Garrison Matthews go.

Evidentally it isn't his team, because he takes no responsibility for how they play.

Al seems to be gassed all the time now, so yeah maybe it is time to bring him off the bench more.  J Rich had a few really good games in a row there, maybe going smaller and faster would help.  Al's shooting has fallen way off as well.
This was the worst game of the year as far as I am concerned.  Looking back at the game we are up 20 mid way through the 3rd.
I can't be done with this team, because I love the C's and I will watch them no matter what.  But us fans deserve better at this point considering the roster that we have.

Enough of the Jays are young narrative….these two are getting major $$$$$$$ to play. No one wants to play with them.

Yeah, Shooters don't play in Boston. We had one last year but let him walk for nothing.

I hope both of the Jays are in the gym all summer working on their dribbling and ball handling.
Both of them get stripped all the time, and are poor off the dribble for all-star level players.
Maybe some intensive ball handling training for months at a time will make that more 2nd nature for them.
It is still an issue for both of them.

I don't think the 5th starter is on the team yet. I agree we should move Al to the bench and roll with Tatum at the 4. But we need a more credible shooter in the backcourt with Smart.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

There is no spacing on the floor. Brown and Tatum play with 3 non-shooters.
