Brad better do something  before JT asks out. He isn’t the problem guys. He just needs better players around him.

This is legit becoming a concern. Because not only are we bad now, but we're not even playing up to the minimal expectations that there were for us, leading to a terrible playing environment.

At the absolute least, we need to prioritize getting shooters around him. Closing a game with 3 below average shooters on the floor with him isn't putting this team in a position to succeed.

Yep. Virtually everyone highlighted a lack of shooting as a likely weakness for us over the summer, and it is absolutely our biggest issue offensively.

That said, while we definitely didn't do anything at all to help the shooting situation, we also are hampered by multiple players significantly regressing in their shooting, not the least of which being Tatum, Al, and even Brown to a lesser degree.

Ownership has to make some decisions. The coach is weak - I think that's obvious. But the roster also sucks.
In a shooters league to not have enough shooters for going on 3 years is just ridiculous.

What is even more ridiculous is how bloody brilliant our two young star wings / forwards (Tatum & Jaylen) are at shooting. You  would think that would make it easier to build a high level shooting team!!!

  • Let's Go Celtics!
And Jaylen Brown disappears in crunch time. Gets his stats and points but disappears when it matters. Use the 50 point game as a highlight to make a trade. Praying for Brown for Beal. Yes Beal is on expiring but it clears our books if the new tandem doesn’t work.

We are going to lose Tatum…

How is Brown disappearing when he is stuck in the corner as a decoy the whole 4th quarter?  Ime basically gave Smart and Tatum the ball, and DS interjected himself into that as well.  With the exception of a few 3s by smart and Tatum, and the shot hit by Tatum at 1.5 sec left, Ime's strategy wasn't very good.

If Dennis can interject himself, why can't Jaylen?

Posters love to claim Jaylen has more fire and is the team's true alpha, why does that type of player settle for being in the corner?

Ime just keeps saying he was playing the best 5. He tightened up the rotation on purpose. He never played big minutes as a play and it shows.

No lead is safe with this team. Up 25 and we let Fournier beat us. Just embarrassing.

You know what'd be absolutely SICK?

If we could get Mike D'Antoni in.

Just for a year.

See what he can unlock with this squad.

On a back to back… and he thought Schroder was one of the best 5? How delusional can you be?

Of course, Ime comes out in the postgame presser throwing his team under the bus again.

What he say?

Basically he said our guys choked under pressure and we need better leadership.

"Ime Udoka: “Repetitive result is happening.”

Said it will keep happening if the Celtics don’t make changes. Said they need leadership to stop them from getting rattled."

Probably because DS had the ball in his hands a lot more in the 4th?  I don't think many are saying the Jaylen is the teams 'true alpha'.  I don't really think so.  But when the coach parks him in the corner for minutes on end, without running any sets that get people moving, and the iso train for Tatum and Smart just keeps running and running, what is Jaylen supposed to do?  Demand the ball?  Maybe?

I dunno what is going on with Ime.  He isn't helping this team at this point.  I hope that changes.  Lord knows our team needs some  help.

I don't know. The guy sucked when he had to coach Carmelo in NYC and our two stars have a lot of similarities to Melo. I don't think this is a good roster for D'Antoni.

I'd love Kenny Atkinson.

“absence makes the heart grow fonder”

Feeling this with Brad right about now with Ime's futility. And it's only made worse by Ime continuously throwing the team under the bus without ever explicitly taking the blame for any of it himself.

Brad went a bit overboard on taking responsibility at times, but to me that's a better fault than Ime's approach. There's a difference between being tough with your guys and constantly putting the blame on them to the media. Time and place for that. Brad didn't do it enough; Ime does it too much.
