Sucks to lose, but I think the C’s played well for the most part. Got unlucky at the end.

We've definitely seen worse. I like how we took it inside the entire game. That was the right move.

Just need JT to get it on a lil more. But he's just back outta covid so fair enough.

Couldn’t agree more.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

On the plus side, I didn’t have to listen to Scal tonight.

Why do people hate Scal generally?

I quite like him. He's gotten a lot better and I dig his bants with Mike.

Wait, isn't that a goaltend with the center hitting the rim on the shot??

It should have been.  Looked like Landale touched the rim as Jaylen put up the ball.

He did...

Not to worry.  It will show up in the NBA's two minute report.  That will fix everything *cough*

My understanding of the rules is that's absolutely considered basket interference and goaltending.

If they actually admit that it was a missed call, the final seconds/OT should absolutely be replayed and made up after the basket went in. That's a go-ahead bucket that the refs missed that was blatant.

Does anyone have a video of that last shot? I would love to rewatch that and see if the Spurs touched the rim.

Not up close view, but even from this far you can tell he definitely forearms the rim pretty hard as the ball is shot by Brown.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Scal is a thousand times better than Mannix. Tough to fill Tommy's shoes.

So I looked it up. These are the two rules governing this situation (https://official.nba.com/rule-no-11-basket-interference-goaltending/):

"Section I—A Player Shall Not:

A) Touch the ball or the basket ring when the ball is sitting or rolling on the ring and using the basket ring as its lower base or hang on the rim while the ball is passing through.

H) Vibrate the rim, net or backboard so as to cause the ball to make an unnatural bounce, or bend or move the rim to an off-center position when the ball is touching the ring or passing through."

Technically, it doesn't seem like (A) applies, as the ball was bouncing off the backboard rather than on the rim at the time he hit it. But (H) could definitely apply with as hard as he hit the rim. Would need a closer view to see if it moved the rim.

In hindsight, if Ime didn’t use that challenge on the JB charge, he could have done so to contest the alleged goaltending call? Just one of those things.

Bad luck for Jaylen but the seeds of this defeat were probably planted earlier in the game. I'm here starved of Celtics basketball in Faker Country so I missed it but apparently Ime's latest excuse was we "got a little too isolation heavy and ball movement got stagnant at times". What a coincidence
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I've seen H called many times over the years, and he hit the rim hard on purpose.

I think Jaylen should have made the shot anyway though.

He’s gotten a bit better, but In the past he’s been super arrogant and condescending towards Abby and Chris Forsberg during the postgame show. To the point where it was uncomfortable to watch.

"Those things" being strange attempts to find ways to blame Ime for a blown layup?

I mean, you're not wrong.
