My point has been made with the poll results.  N.O. would never offer this much for Jaylen.  And the poll results are 15 to 1.

Completely irrational homerism  for Jaylen.  Not surprisingly.  We are on celtics blog after all.

... m8.

You post a terrible trade and then call people homers.

The heck man.

You try coming up with a better Jaylen trade that's at least somewhat realistic..

No, dude. Because I don't think there *is* one.

JB's injuries make him harder to trade. He's also more valuable to the Celtics than he is to any other team, because he's a known quantity here.

He's also increased his production by heaps over the years. Almost every single year.

All of those are reasons he's not going to yield the value he'd have for us if we kept him.

We're better off keeping him. Easily. Next year, he's better than ANY player we COULD get for him now.

This is the whole point of #JKJB.

So coming up with a viable trade? No dude, you're not listening. We don't WANT to trade. It's like asking "you come up with a viable vegetable to trade my left leg for". None. [redacted] giving up my left leg for a vegetable.
Zion is better than him though.  Clearly a greater injury risk, but better.  So if you will only trade Brown for a better player, why wouldn't you trade him for Zion.

Did you really just ask me why I wouldn't trade JB for Zion?

except nothing you said is a reason you wouldn't trade him for Zion because Zion is better than him.  Obviously New Orleans wouldn't make the trade, but that isn't the same thing.

Alright, in short; I value JB higher. I don't trust Zion's injuries and laziness.

Yes, C’s should trade away their second best player for a guy that has weight issues and misses significant time every season with injury.  ::)

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I created the #JKJB hashtag (It was Nick’s work I just abbreviated and hashtagged it), but Jaylen is starting to miss at least some time with injury himself.

The value of this trade is really predicated on which version of Zion we would be getting. The one who was dominating during his only collegiate season and who scored 20 points a game for 20+ games under age 21 and who could initiate offense and rebound? Or the one who looked like he was 300 points and has been constantly injured?
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Your copyright infringement here isn't cool smoke.

The very first time I did JKJB I did it with the hashtag #JKJB. Here is the post:

If you can show me anywhere on the internet that you used that hashtag before then, please do so, because it's not in your posting history on this site.

Asked around the NBA about rumors Boston may be looking to move Jaylen Brown. One rival front office exec summed it up best: "Have you noticed those quotes are always from another team? That tells me a lot of people want to trade for him, but Boston has no desire to trade him."

We’d be lucky to get Zion and filler for JB, so we need to stop dreaming of JV.

JB is a nice piece, but Zion is a potential HOFer. Would be a nice contrast to LeBron being a Laker, too. No-brainer to deal JB for Zion. Doubt we’d ever get that opportunity, though.

You really can't sleep on the fact that Zions body could absolutely crumble and quickly.  Huge risk for the celtics unless Zion can grow up fast and manage his weight better.

The kid is a tripple bacon cheeseburger away from being 330 pounds.  He's WAY to big.

You’re raising some real red flags here - in my view Zion’s self-discipline issues are not the marks of a champion. People grow up, mature, transform themselves, see the light; to be sure, that happens. Maybe more than anything else, he needs a change of scenery. But what reason do we have to think that it would help?

Contrast with JB, who’s maximizing his gifts with hard work. I could go on, but let’s keep it simple:

#JKJB
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

Wow, vortex. Wanna know what's crazy.  I pulled the 330 pound number out of nowhere.  Now it was just listening to the ringer and multiple sources are saying he is 330 pounds right now!
