Did he say title or mvp? Jokic should win the mvp because he has an absolutely brutal supporting cast down mjp and murray. Embid has a better but still fairly chance at title for the same reason.

Jokic should definitely win it. Anthony's random criteria for "being deserving of back-to-back MVPs" is apparently having your team in legit title contention...?

Defense matters.  Giannis or Embiid should win MVP.

It's over lol no team can win against free throw disparency like this 76ers might shoot over 45 free throws tonight, they had 38 in game 1.

Should be interesting to see if they get 40 a game in Toronto.

I flipped over to jazz game which for the time being is more competitive. This may end up being a bit of a snooze of a first round.

I know you like the guy, but the second third and fourth best player on the 76ers are better than the nuggets second best player. How many wins to the 76ers have if you replace harden, maxey and harried with Gordon, Barton and monte Morris?

Raps obviously got hit with some tough injuries Game 1 but they don't really look that competitive either. C's would have no problem against them even without Timelord and with Jaylen potentially missing a few games

I know it's not trendy, but Jokic is an elite team defender. His defensive stats are off the charts (much better than the two you listed), and he is the best offensive player in the NBA by a wide margin.

A lot depends on the whistle. Butler should give Harden more headaches than Toronto are capable of though. And Spoelstra has more defensive options than Nurse

Miami should be a much better test than Toronto .  There s some bad blood IMO between Philly and Miami .   It’s a toss up for me.

The best player on the best team should weigh heavier than any other metric. It may not get it right every season, but it’ll be closer to the right answer than prioritizing PER and the other advanced metrics.

Phoenix dominated the regular season and have been disregarded for individual awards. Nash won his MVP’s in seasons he had similar stats and impact as CP3 (who did more with less during his NO days and denied the MVP as well).

This is just false. Winning is not at all the only measure of individual impact, and it should not be regarded as such. Jokic is by far the most valuable player in the league, because he is the most valuable player to his team. His impact is literally historic - nobody has done the things he is doing this season.

Toronto isn’t a test at all. I think Philly would beat Miami in 6 games. 76ers clearly have the two best players in that series and you could argue 3, with Maxey.

I think 76ers have the edge in that matchup. Don't see anyone stopping Joel Embiid.
