Okay, Mitchell looks like Mitchell but why is he taking every single shot?  You have teammates, dude.

There's more offensive talent on that Utah team than this.  He doesn't have to play like this.  This is just selfish basketball, whether the ball is going in now or not.

This has always been why I wasn't a huge fan of Mitchell. He's not fun to watch if you like watching team offense. He's a suped-up version of Jordan Clarkson.

I'm not gonna deny that he is really good, and the Jazz have ridden his offense to multiple good seasons. I just don't enjoy watching them because of it.

New Orleans had a good post All-Star break, going 13-10, practically the same record as the Clippers 12-9.

You can suck early in the season, make trades, and still fight your way into the playoffs, is that a bad message to send to the rest of the league?

Them making it in isn't some huge travesty.

We also don't know how long George will be out with Covid, as he's actually sick not asymptomatic, but I think he would have been out for at least Games 1-2 too.

Do you really think 1-8 ratings are going to be that different?

Yeah the ratings will be absolutely worse with the pelicans. They have much worse ratings both nationally and locally than the clippers and are obviously a much smaller market than LA. Also, if the pelicans were within 2 or 3 games of the clippers it wouldn’t be a travesty. But they were a full 6 games behind them. That is how far the Knicks were behind the hornets and nobody thinks the Knicks should have had a shot at the playoffs. I believe there was a chance george would have missed game 1 but game 2 is very unlikely as he is fully vaccinated. 6 games is a huge difference, and this isn’t great for the league. I do think there will be some tweaks in the playin tournament.

Kudos to the Mavs. No Doncic but still battling. Just a 5-point game

They play very sound team defense.  They struggled to keep Mitchell away from the rim in that third quarter for a bit, and it looks like Bogdanovic can just shoot over them with some success, but for the most part these shots that Utah is getting are contested.

They don't have any firepower without their best player, but they've given themselves a shot anyway.

KAT doing more in seven minutes here than he did in the entire play-in game.

Heck of a punch to start the game for the Wolves.  I wonder if perhaps that play-in intensity helped them prepare for this one.  They're already in do-or-die mode.  Memphis clearly isn't yet.

Yeah Morant may put up numbers but is it just me or do the Grizz seem to play better overall when he’s on the bench lol??

The Warriors and Sun's I believe should meet in the conference finals, that will be an incredible Western Conference finals.

Memphis doesn't look like the juggernaut they were in the regular season playoff physicality and game planning have thrown them off a little

I like their bench- I do believe they will beat this Wolves team. but this is going to 6 or 7.

Edwards can ball even though he does not create for others.

Yeah, I think people will realize those are the only real contenders in the west to win the championship. As someone living in Denver that goes to their games a lot, the nuggets for example are just not that a good of a team yet almost won 50 games playing guys like Frank campazzo, bones hyland, zeke nnaji significant rotation minutes.

Memphis defense has been embarrassing.

Now their offense has grinded to a halt.

Nothing to worry about with a game every three days.
