Hey Markkanen, couldn't you have done this against the Nets??  >:(

I also wish Jarrett Allen would have been available against BKN. He definitely would have given them problems

In case you're wondering about early returns on All-NBA

I really hope that holds and Embiid or Jokic doesn't make it as a forward.  That would have been a real travesty and if you do keep those 2 guys at center then I really can't see how it isn't Giannis and Tatum on the 1st Team.  2nd Team makes sense as well with Durant and DeRozan with Lebron very close to DeRozan for the 2nd 2nd team spot.  Be interesting to see who makes the 3rd team as the other forward.

So if a team is voted for two different positions, do they add them together, or does it kind of mess it up for the player? For example is Demar Derozen losing some votes because people are putting in him in at guard? It seems like he is missing some votes. I cant imagine many people that just watched Lebron play 55 games for a near 50 loss team is competitive with Derozen's season.

The way it works is your point total is combined for the position, but you are ranked by the point total of the position for which you received the most votes.  That’s why last year, Tatum was eligible for both forward and guard, and received more total points than Kyrie, but he was left off All-NBA because he received fewer total points than six other players who also received a majority of their votes at forward.

So if Demar gets a decent amount of guard votes he finishes behind Lebron getting all his votes for forward even if Demar gets way more votes. That is not ideal. They got to change this system, it is setting up for a travesty like Embid finishing on third team cause he gets split forward and center votes. I would be fine if they just make it the 5 best players given half the players are eligible at 2 positions and it is creating nonsense.

Demar’s guard votes count toward his points.  Using the totals in this post, suppose Demar has an additional 20 points at guard, he’d have a total of 68 points, and his 68 points would compare against other forwards.  If Embiid picks up 30 points at forward, he’s still going to get second team center behind Jokic, because those 30 forward points will count towards his total, but the majority of his votes will come at center.

These play-in games have been awesome. Like an appetizer before the main course.. playoffs.
Are you not entertained!? Is this not why you are here?!

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah, he is. Great game. How bad did the Capella injury look? I didn’t see it. Hope Collins is back for the playoffs. Hawks are going to give the Heat problems…  :D

I don't care what anyone says, that was an entertaining game that we got courtesy of the play-in tournament.

Tough break for the Cavs, thought they had a puncher's chance against the Heat with Allen back, but then again I also think the Hawks have a puncher's chance too. Wasn't expecting a terrible 1-8 series either way.

Okungwu and Hunter's defense in that second half was special. The Cavs simply could not get good looks, and the Hawks were able to successfully hide Trae Young.

Toronto Philly will be great the first time they met it went to 7 Vince Carter vs Allen Iverson last shot... Second time in 2019 Kashi game 7 buzzer beater... This series also should be entertaining

And when we played Toronto in the bubble tournament that series was insane i can see why you wouldn't want to play them besides Boston and LeBron nobody else has beat them in a 7 game series since like 2014?

Should Atlanta trade Capela and promote Okungwu?

If the Pelicans can get back Zion next season and find a way to add another great wing player, they'll be a tough team in the West next season. McCollum was a good add and a great veteran presence and they got some other good pieces (Valenciunas, Ingram, etc.)
They have the Lakers pick. So, theoretically, they could add one of the best players coming into the league if the lottery works for them and they pick right.

I feel bad for the Cavs though. This is why I’m not a huge fan of the play in games. The Cavs had a lot of injuries throughout the season, but they managed to stay in the top 7/8. Why should they be “punished” to have to go through a series of knockout games when they were already in the top 8 in the first place.
