Any way the pelicans beat the clippers?

Maybe if Zion plays.

Clips have a lot of size and length with PG, Morris, Batum, Covington. Very switchable team and it’s going to be tough for CJ. Plus, the games in LA…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Pels have a lot of firepower.  They always have a chance if they can turn a game into a shootout.  I wouldn't favor them necessarily, but I do think they can win.

Yep. They improved a lot during the season, then made a big leap after the McCollum trade.  I'd be surprised if they lose to the Clippers.  After that, it'll be tough to beat Phoenix, though.

They are long and experienced, but McCollum is playing out of his mind. Ingram can get his shot off on anyone. And Valanciunas has been great.

Herb is a tough match-up to throw at PG, and their offense is otherwise pretty mediocre.

And the young NOP are are probably more motivated than the older Clippers.

It kills me the conversation around the Nets right now. Vince Carter on Sportscenter lauding the Nets defense in the Cavs game by holding them to 108 points when they were giving up 113 points in the regular season.

The Cavs are the 20th rated offense this season... It's like people are looking for whatever excuse they can to give the edge to the Nets.

I hope the C's take this personally and just stomp the crap out of them. And I think we actually matchup up with them about as well as any team does. We have the number one defense in the league that also has the individual defenders to make things tough for Kyrie and KD, and then we pair that with a top-9 offense that has been red hot in the second half of the year versus their poor defense. Oh, and they have nobody to slow down either Brown nor Tatum, and certainly not both. KD is the best bet to try and slow down Tatum, but how much energy do you want him expending on that side of the ball?

I really can’t stop wondering how the spurs had a better record then the lakers this year.

they looked like a college team.

Been interesting to watch CJ spread his wings in NO.  He was always capable of more than he was doing in Portland IMO.  Can’t help but feel like Portland should have traded him years ago for somebody whose skillset wasn’t redundant with Lillard.  Probably would have benefited both of them, and I think Portland would have gotten a much better return back then compared to the scraps they got this year.

Hindsight is what it is though.

they got Josh heart lol ::) 8)

I like the Eddie house interview before

He said something like - they have KD and Kyrie who are great inside finishers and we don't have Rob,

My favorite part is when they asked if the celts are anxious about them, he said nope.

Got that swag of a player, refuses to say he's afraid of anyone

To be fair, they had Derrick White and we had Romeo Langford for both of those games.  Situations have been reversed.

Poetl always seems to kill the C's for some reason. Especially on the boards.

If the Pelicans can get back Zion next season and find a way to add another great wing player, they'll be a tough team in the West next season. McCollum was a good add and a great veteran presence and they got some other good pieces (Valenciunas, Ingram, etc.)

And this is the main reason I was against the C’s playing starters in the season finale. Luckily no one was injured, but it wasn’t worth the gamble, IMO. If that happened to Smart, Tatum, Brown, or Horford, The playoffs would have been over before they had even begun.

DALLAS -- Mavericks superstar guard Luka Doncic will miss Saturday's Game 1 against the Utah Jazz due to his strained left calf and significant concern remains for his availability for Monday's Game 2, sources told ESPN.

Doncic has not practiced since suffering the injury in the third quarter of the Mavs' regular-season finale on Sunday.
