If the Sixers goal is to win the title in the next season or two, then Haliburton, Barnes, and Hield for Simmons and Harris is not going to accomplish that. Sure, they'd be better than they are without Simmons, but they'd actually be worse then they'd be with Simmons and certainly much worse than if they landed someone like Harden. That is the reason they haven't made that type of trade as it doesn't really get them into surefire championship range. They'd still rely so much on Embiid and Harris is actually a better scorer than any of those Sacramento players so they'd be worse there as well. Haliburton could eventually be a real star capable of being a #2 guy, but that is years down the road and Embiid may not be a #1 guy at that time. Barnes and Hield are fine players, but they aren't elevating a team into contention
