Lillard is definitely the veteran, playoff hardened, great outside shooting, floor general you need to put next to both Jays. Empty out the roster of assets Portland would need and any vets you are sending out, send them to a third team to get Portland more prospects.

Smart, Rob Williams, Richardson rights to Yam and Begarin and their choice of Romeo or Nesmith plus every pick and pick swap it takes. If it takes moving Smart and Richardson to another team for youth(GSW seems like a good place to start), do it.

But Lillard, Brown, Tatum, Grant, Horford as a starting unit with Pritchard, a re-signed Freedom and one of Nesmith or Romeo, off the bench, seems like an amazing place to start next season.
Sorry to say that trading these players seems like an odd take on the day after those very players made key contributions to beating the best team in the league.  I guess I'm not so high on Lillard as to be willing to gut the team and its future.

Yeah to be honest I really don't want to have to move Smart AND Timelord. Now if a move like that though actually gets you back another piece in addition to Lillard (like a solid role-player) then I can  live with it. It's not like our bench is flourishing with depth either we need to make sure we have a solid bench behind a trio of Tatum-Brown-Lillard in this scenario too lol

It's true that Lillard is a fan-favorite in Portland and it may be a bit difficult to convince Portland to move him for a not-so-high trade package, but at the same time his contract isn't exactly one that teams would just love to pick up considering the trends lately with guard players as they age.

Lillard is not having a good season and his Blazers team has been horrendous. He is shooting 40% from the field and 32% from 3pt. Plus he’s a small guard and not a good defender. Dame is also going to be 32 this year and has an outrageous contract at $40M+/year. Hard pass on Lillard for me.

I don't like a score first PG next to Tatum and Brown.  Now if you moved Tatum or Brown, then having a score 1st PG like Lillard would make way more sense.  I just don't think that type of player is the right fit next to Tatum, especially with Brown still on the roster.

Lebron will likely win western conference player of the month after averaging 31-9-7-2-1 on 56/40/79. One of the best months he has had in a long time and he turned 37 during the month.  Absolutely incredible.

Feels like that's the trend in today's world. Athletes being able to play late into their careers and in some cases at a high-level even as they age. Tom Brady in the NFL, maybe a few guys like Aaron Rodgers potentially also playing into their 40s. Lebron in the NBA. I know he hasn't been as high-level as the others I mention, but even Chara in the NHL playing at age 44 currently and Jagr playing in the NHL into his mid-40s.

Did you see that Ja Morant stat?

Grizzlies are 10-2 without Morant; 9-12 with Morant.

Clearly, Jah needs to be traded because he doesn't fit alongside Bane and Brooks. The win loss record is proof of that.

Yeah that's just terrible. Memphis should just trade him to Boston for a draft pick

My gawd. DeMar Derozan is a beast. B2b night game-winning 3. First against Indiana Pacers in front of their crowd, then against the Wizards in D.C.

Crazy.

Seems like there might be a fire sale/exodus in Houston. These guys seem like awful character guys.

Woods seems like something that can happen, and I don’t think he is a repeat offender. Porter has had repeated issues everywhere he went. Let’s not forget how his time in Cleveland ended “

“Kevin Porter Jr. only has himself to blame. He wrecked a car because he was driving recklessly, he had a handgun on him that his mother took the wrap for, he threatened to kill a man on camera, and he’s accused of assaulting a woman. All that in a span of a few months. That wouldn’t be the end of his issues, however. Apparently, Porter had a blow-up with Cavalier officials after the most recent win over the Knicks. The Cavs are no longer having any of this and according to The Athletic, have decided to move on from Porter.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if Porter was sent his walking papers again. I remember some people were upset the Celtics didn’t take a flier on this guy, but throwing stuff at coaches and driving out of the stadium mid game isn’t something I can ever recall a celtic doing. Did we ever have anyone drive off mid game?

I’d stay away from both tbh. Pretty sure there was another incident with Wood were he overtly complained about not getting touches and then refused to shoot the ball for an entire half to try and make a point to the coach. He seems like a diva.

There were numerous posters clamouring for KPJ, saying him being a locker-room problem was a thing of the past. Funny

Too much abiliity to pass up... not many 21 year olds in the entire league have the ability to drive home at halftime.
