Westbrick with a triple double on 4-20 field goals! The Lakers were -23 with him on the floor. He's the epitome of an empty stats player! Not to mention, he's a terrible fit next to LeBron cause they both need the ball in their hands. Lol at the Fakers for making the most idiotic trade of the offseason! ;D

In fact, "Trade Russ" is trending on Twitter.

I agree Russ is a bigger problem than Lebron but also believe he is completely untradable. Lebron is still a good player also, don’t get me wrong. But a lot of people want to act like he is at the level of curry, Giannis, Durant etc. and he just isn’t. He is probably more similar to a Paul George at this point, but the clippers are actually doing better than the lakers and probably have less talent.
He has slowed down and doesn't move much anymore.  His team isn't winning this year.  I still think he's in that top tier though.  I would never call Lebron an empty stats guy and his numbers and IQ put him in that top tier for now.  I do see a huge drop off in terms of athleticism and motor but I'd still take Lebron over Paul George types for the foreseeable future.  He looks pretty similar to the guy who won the finals MVP a couple seasons ago.  I don't think we can blame Lebron for Davis and Westbrook not pulling their weight.

Good luck with that. He's probably close to untradeable unless they are willing to swap him for John Wall. I'm not even sure the Cavs would take him for Kevin Love!

The Lakers just lost a close one on Christmas against a very depleted Nets team. Where are all the people yelling about how Lebron and Westbrook are soft losers who will never win anything and calling for everyone on the roster to be traded and their head coach and GM to be fired?

At least in the Celtics-Bucks game, the Celtics were the heavily undermanned team and the Bucks had pretty much their complete rotation healthy.

I’ve gotten a lot of pushback on pointing out Lebron is not a top ten player but he is losing to a team where the second best player was either 34 year old Patty mills or claxton. There has started to be a little buzz about lebron getting traded

Totally unfair dude, Mills is still 33.

Presupposing that the Lakers will not trade Davis or Lebron, then the Lakers can't make any trades.  Horton-Tucker is the only guy on the roster that is not basically a minimum contract outside of the top 3 and they won't find a taker for Westbrook.

As for LeBron, the Lakers were +9 in his 40 minutes and -17 in the 8 minutes he was on the bench.  Without Davis they are a middling team with Lebron and would be competing for the worst team in the league when Lebron rests. The Lakers were built around having both Davis and James and they need both of them to be effective (and for Davis to actually look like a superstar in his prime).

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Which btw, is why the Lakers should have kept Caruso and Schroder.  That would have added 2 mid tier salaries on players with value to trade if nothing else.

This doesn’t really explain why the lakers lost at home to a team led by harden mills and claxton. Are you arguing that out of shape harden is better than James? I haven't had Harden in the top 10 because of his physical conditioning, but I guess he probably is. One of the things that was a huge difference in the past was on display last night on the defensive end. Lebron has made so many famous amazing defensive plays and blocks, but just couldn't get up high enough on the defensive end and Claxton dunked it over him for the and one to essentially end the game.

The Lakers were -17 in the 8 minutes James was on the bench and in CC's world that makes the loss James' fault.

Looks like IT is available again. The Lakers are letting him who after his 10 day deal. Time for him to finally rejoin the Celtics?

Can you stop with the nonsense man? Saying Lebron is no longer a top ten player, how does that in your eyes equate to me saying it was "his fault." Tatum could have a good game and the celtics could still lose a close one, and i may say this shows Tatum is not at an mvp level right now cause he could have taken over the game, but it would have nothing to do with whether I had an opinion on whether the loss was his fault. And just to clarify, I DO NOT, think the loss was his fault. He couldn't make a great defensive play at the end of the game that he would have possibly made when he was younger and better, but the game was not lost on that play. For the 1047 time, Please respond to what I actually say and stop the nonsense. And since i guess I have to just ask you super direct questions to avoid you trying to derail the conversation. Where do you rank Lebron James as a player this year?

Top 3? Top 5? Top 10? Top 20?

Who knows if it is actually true, but it has been widely reported AD and Lebron pushed Pelinka to get Westbrook instead of Buddy Hield. This team would be in such a better position with Hield. I am loving it though (and it has made it mildly hilarious to watch lebron fans try and use randoms stats/arguments to why the Lakers may be headed towards the lottery but Lebron is still in near peak form). I just hope we are not in the lottery with them.
