just looked at the Jokic Morris incident again and the way Morris’ head snapped back looks really bad. Also the way Morris hit Jokic could have caused serious injury to Jokic. The NBA needs to ensure players don’t target each other like that.

I think Jokic already did the policing. At least for himself. He should be suspended for how forceful he was, but he’s a big guy, there’s gonna be some follow through if he’s got momentum. As for blindsiding Morris, Markeif was an idiot for turning his back on someone HE just blindsided.
Jokic will serve his time, but he sent a very clear message that you don’t want to pull that on him.
Also, you now know that if you send a roleplayer in as a sacrifice, you can get Jokic to eliminate himself for a few games in the playoffs...
Generally teams don't send in roleplayers to intentionally commit flagrant 2s on opposing stars, because flagrant 2s can result in injuries and that strategy can be turned against you very quickly.
If take fouls weren't a thing, this confrontation would have never happened. Morris was a bit upset at the way the game went, but he went to Jokic with the intention of a take foul, not a dirty play. He just followed through in a dirty way.
Now that they got rid of the junk foul calls, if they get rid of take fouls, the game would be pretty clean to watch.
