Heat look like toast.

Nets would love to have the cHeat in round 1.

I think the Nets are surging towards that 6th seed tbh..they may still be 1.5 games behind but with KD and Kyrie playing..they are the favorites at the Play in and is assured of the 7th seed to avoid the Cs who will get that top seed😁.

There are only 8 games left. The Nets won't make up 3 games on the Raptors or 4 games on the Bulls. The Nets will be in the play-in.

Route to the Conference Finals could be: Cleveland/Atlanta/Charlotte => Miami/Toronto/Chicago. Thus avoiding Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Brooklyn.

Milwaukee-Brooklyn is a realistic first round match-up. Celtics have to keep up their streak to get that #1 seed.

Outside of Boston winning, would there be anything better than the Nets losing at Cleveland in the 7/8 and then losing at home in the 9/10?
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

I don't know about you guys, but I kinda want a Celtics v Nets 1st round matchup. It would be one of those epic playoff series that define a team on their way to a title, like the 2008 Celtics vs Cavs. I would love to see these Celtics take down Kyrie and KD definitively in a playoff series.

Also, if we're going to have to face the Nets sooner or later in these playoffs, sooner before Ben Simmons returns is better.

So a 76ers loss and a Celtics win today will give us the #1 seed? Could be possible that the 76ers lose since they're facing the Suns in Phoenix. But the Celtics also have to host the red-hot Wolves.

I think I'm slowly coming to the realization and acceptance than the Celtics will have to just face whoever comes their way the first round or all three rounds whether it's the Nets, Bucks, 76ers or all three  :-\ If they get bounced as a number 1 seed in the first-round, we won't hear the end of media scrutinizing the C's calling them overrated/overhyped. So if they are 1-seed and if they are playing like they've been playing since Jan 22, they need to win the championship now. Or at least rep in the Finals.

Yes.  The Lakers getting passed by the Pels and Spurs to miss the playoffs altogether or the Lakers losing the 9/10 play-in game at home.

Who wants to play the Celtics?

I'd normally agree about facing the Nets in the 1st round but I just have a feeling that a Sixers Nets matchup with Simmons playing is destined by the basketball gods.  In game 7, Simmons will hit a 3pt shot and go 7 for 8 from the line when the Sixers resort to hack-a-Simmons.

I don't trust the basketball gods that much.  If the Lakers make it to the 1st round, Paul and Booker will have some ridiculous collision that puts them both out for the series.

It's possible, maybe even likely, that the Celtics finish the year with the league's 3rd best record

Nets trailing the Hornets by 8 late in the 3rd in a relatively important game for them. Kyrie 2-13 from the field so far. We're supposed to fear this team?
