Heat, Bucks, both getting rocked tonight. Is there some kind of massive tanking strategy going on to avoid the Nets in round 1 or are these teams really falling apart going into the playoffs?

Depends on if lots of guys are getting "rest".

Rest, no. They are just sucking big time on the floor. It's Memphis who is missing their best player and they are kicking the Bucks butts.

I doubt it, I think there is a better chance that they play the 2 seed - -or possibly even leapfrog Chicago, who are stinking the joint up

Celtics with a win tomorrow will move up to 2nd in the standings.

Not bad for a team that seemed all but dead in 11th place just a few months ago....

do the heat have the tie-breaker on us right now?
because if we win tomorrow and Philly loses, we are in a two way tie for first with the heat.

With the Heat and Bucks losing, the C’s will be 3rd in the EC 1/2 game out of 1st with a great shot at vaulting to #1 by tomorrow with a win against the Timberwolves and a Sixers loss to the Suns.

The Raptors vaulted the Cavs for the 6th seed tonight.

Did people forget about the play-in? The Nets are on track to play the 7 seed for the 7th seed and they will be the favorite against any of the teams in the running.

With 8 games remaining and the records this close, these last few weeks will be interesting. I like my C’s to take the #1 seed and keep it, we’ll see how everything else shakes out.

I'm pretty sure H2H is the primary tiebreaker, and the Cs are guaranteed to own that one.

Some crazy and a bit scary stuff today in Toronto. The game was delayed 70 minutes in the 1st half and all the fans were evacuated due to a fire at the arena in a speaker. The fire was taken care of and the game resumed, but without fans. No one was around to see Toronto destroy the Pacers by 40.

Correct.
Tiebreakers are:
1. Head to head
2. If one team is a division winner and the other is not
3. Wins within division (only applies if tied teams are the same division)
4. Conference record
5. Conference record against winning teams
6. Non-conference record against winning teams
7. Total point differential

Three way ties use the same rules. For example if the C's are tied with Philly and the Heat and our combined record against them is 5-1, while the Heat are 2-4 and Philly is 3-3 then we are #1, Philly is #2, and Miami is #3.

The second time this week hearing a pro-sports arena/stadium was on fire. I sense something fishy.

Pacers new excuse will be "the raptors cheated with a long game delay in their arena."

They looked like we did early in the season. I've thought their record was better than their talent, but they looked lost out there against BKN.

“Exciting” race for the 9 and 10 seed ins the West.  Pelicans play the Lakers tonight, with the winner in the driver seat for 9th and the loser in danger of getting passed by the Spurs who get Portland and Houston in the next week.

I think the whole Play-in tournament thing is what the league needs to really keep the competition tight..even those teams that are the 11th to 12th seed are still up to now has a chance at making the tournament and those teams at the 678 spot are jockkeying to totallt avoid the play in where as 2 yrs ago, right about thos time teams start resting star players because they are almost assured of a playoff spot and the 12th rank teams would now tank to make their draft position better.
