Feels like Yam Madur is not going to get a roster spot with this trade, unless he blows staff away in summer league.  Too much PG depth suddenly. Unless they have designs to move Smart, which I seriously doubt.

Brad really seems intent on rebuilding the team around defense and length.  That is what Ime has been emphasizing. I think re-establishing a tough defensive identity will really help us get our swagger back. And also improve our offense, especially on transition.

Love what Big Brad is doing.  Establishing an identity with Roster moves. What a concept.

Yeah, the team will have much more of a defensive identity next season. Still far from a contender though.

From the Globe's Adam Himmelsbach. Adam doesn't quite have Woj's connections so not sure how much of this is speculation and how much is solid.

Just throw a handful of picks along Dunn and convince Thunder to give up SGA - the contracts align nicely :)

If Brad could convince Sam do to that it would be a considerable feather in his cap, for sure  :police:

Smart next!

Keep on trading Brad, u ain’t made a bad move yet

Smarts not going anywhere for now. If he really stinks it up as the full time PG, maybe he gets moved at the trade deadline. All Brad and Ime have done is say how much Marcus means to the team and how important he is.
You won't get jack for him at the trade deadline, and you risk losing him as a FA.

Either extend Smart or trade him. If you trade him, you have someone very similar now at a much lower price in Dunn (IF healthy). If you extend Smart, you can trade him at your convenience or keep him.

The way I see it: Dunn is our hedge against Smart leaving. Bet they’re trying to re-sign both of them and whichever does not re-sign will be moved. If they both re-sign, ship Dunn.

It would be amazing to pair Lonzo with Tatum/Brown.

Could we really be so lucky that SGA is miffed at being dangled in front of Detroit and is demanding out, and we’re the ones who get his services? Can’t even imagine how lucky we’d be to have a big three of Tatum/Brown/SGA.

Interesting. Dunn may not be here long per Himmelsbach.

Wonder what Brad has up his sleeves.

I m less of fan of Dunn than TT

I was for keeping him ,   You know old Al and Timelord are gonna be injured by game 10

The Kings made the Hawks better. It turned into a 3 team trade with TT going to Sacramento, Delon Wright going to ATL, and Dunn, Fernando, and a 2nd coming to us.

Honestly I'd rather have Brown and a vet min big man backing up Horford and Time Lord than TT at 9.8 million. We also get a TPE for Thompson's salary which could be useful.
I'm bitter.

That would be the first step in getting Presti here as GM under President Brad lol

I'm looking at some Bruno highlights. I have no idea if he's any good but he seems to move really well for his size. Good athlete. Maybe there's something there.

The Boston-Atlanta-Sacramento three-team trade has yet to go official. Hearing this morning that there have been some discussions on expanding the trade or tweaking the deal some. Teams remain on course to complete the trade today, before the league year changes over.

Word from Chris Haynes is that Ball intends to sign with Bulls unless a major hiccup.
