Sacramento now have

G: Fox
G: Hield, T.Davis
F: H.Barnes, Harkless
F: Mo Bagley
C: R.Holmes, T.Thompson, A.Len

Not looking like a team that is making progress. Stagnation.

Kings have Haliburton and Davion Mitchell too.  It will be interesting if they move Hield to LAC as has been rumored.

Haliburton! Thank you. I thought there was someone missing. And Davion Mitchell, that is good.

I like their guard rotation, but the rest...

Bagley is killing that team. It is actually a pretty solid team (45-47 win team) if they managed to replace Bagley with an adequate PF.

Bagley is such a frustrating player. He cannot defend the four or the five and he is making little to no effort to change that. He doesn't have the skill-level for the PF but refuses to commit to the five.

He does some good things for them but more bad things. He is a net negative for Sacramento. Just replacing him with an adequate PF puts them in that 45-47 win range.
I always wonder how different they'd look if they'd drafted Jaren Jackson Jr., would be an interesting 3&D forward there. Ah well, SacTown have always mystified me

In the 2nd half of last year Haliburton was starting over Hield. Small correction.

So I guess now that Dunn seems like he is staying I’d suppose Schroeder is out of the picture.
IMO, that's a huge relief.  Not a fan, and prefer to head into the season with this group.  Hopefully Smart takes the deal. It's the max C's can offer so there's no negotiation.

It's not the most we can offer.

Not a fan of Schroder's game either, but if we can get him for the non-taxpayer MLE, that would be a steal!

Smart's max extension starts at 120% of his current salary. Annual raises are up to 8%.

2022/23: $17,207,142
2023/24: $18,583,713
2024/25: $19,960,284
2025/26: $21,336,856

Total: $77,087,995

According to rumors, we offered him $17,000,000 per year for a total of $68,000,000 over 4 years.

Not sure why the link ain't working. Here's what the tweet is saying:

Ryan Bernardoni: Seeing a lot of people running with the assumption that Smart has been offered his max extension that begins just over $17M in Year 1. Confirmation here that wording in original tweet of 17M per really means 17M per and not Smart’s max. Explains why it isn’t a done deal yet.

Mark Murphy: They’re offering roughly $17M per. Ryan McDonough expanded on that, calculating that the most they can offer is 4/77. But at the moment, it’s closer to 4/68. Very fluid.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we see something like De’Aaron Fox & Buddy Hield for Ben Simmons & Danny Green.

I stand by this earlier statement, but remove Danny Green (recently re-signed) and add Tyrese Maxey to that deal.

IMO it makes sense, especially after reports that Simmons wants to be moved to a Californian team and Tristan Thompson (Klutch client) is already there.

G: Mitchell, Maxey
G: Haliburton, Davis
F: Barnes, Harkless
F: Simmons, Bagley III
C: Holmes, Thompson, Len

Awful deal for the Sixers imo. Simmons is clearly the best player in the deal and I would probably take Green over Fox/Hield on high-level teams.

Not a fan of Fox's defence?

Anyone that would take a mid-30's role player in Danny Green over Fox/Hield just can't be taken seriously.  That is some clear bias not rooted in reality.

This is almost as absurd as whoever was claiming Aaron Nesmith's lateral quickness was no better than Enes Kanter's.

Many NBA teams would love to have Fox & Hield. With the current state of things, Philly might be fortunate to get that offer.

Things seem a bit off topic here. Please take the Simmons conversation to a more appropriate thread.
