The question now for the Celtics is whether they are a 40-45 win team or a 47-52 team and that will be decided by whether they fill their bench with good veterans or come back with another bench full of dodgy inexperienced prospects.

We Celtics fans should start boycotting this team and demand for new ownership and run Wyc out this house and take Brad Stevens with him!!

Free agent guard Alex Caruso has agreed to a four-year, $37M deal with the Chicago Bulls, his agent Greg Lawrence of @Wasserman tells ESPN.
Why did Chicago do that?

They have Lonzo Ball and Coby White at PG already. Why sign a 3rd PG at MLE type money?

Alex Caruso isn’t a point guard. He’s a SG.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Some teams like to add depth for a long season. I've heard.  ::)

Celtic fans don’t even get it anymore. Cs have a bunch of short players masquerading as nba players

Miami gets new players every year.

Because Miami cares about winning. Wyc and Pags and scuttlebutt only care about making a profit for themselves.

When fans are spouting loyalty when they want a player to resign, I hope they remember the franchise's complete crapping on loyalty when it comes time to actually spending money to retain said player.

PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

I heard we had interested in everyone. The Celtics are always interested in players but that's as far as it goes.

Maybe Brad scores a homerun and lands Dinwiddie.

For those griping about the lack of action by Boston thus far, what were you expecting? If you think that Boston didn't already know where Fournier was signing when they completed the Richardson trade, then you are just fooling yourself.

Stevens knew Fournier was gone, so nothing with him was happening today. They only have the taxpayer MLE at around $6 million and vet mins to offer free agents. And those contracts usually don't get signed in the first 2-3 hours of free agency.

Nothing was going to happen with the Celtics today. No reason to be down about it if you look at things with a bit more logic and a bit less emotion.

Eh, the injury history scares me, and I question the fit, too.

Wyc and crew have been above average NBA owners since acquiring the team. From where they finished last season and thanks to Ainge, there's no chance of contending next season so it makes no sense to spend above the cap.

But ownership and Brad are now on the clock. Not only do they have to deal with their 'green teamer' fan base coming to the realization that this is a .500 team - at best next season. They don't have long to turn this around given all the recruitment that goes on among players.

If they don't get it right they'll be blowing this thing up and returning to to the lottery in 2 to 3 years. And rebuilding their season ticket base while they're at it.

When Dinwiddie is your saving grace in free agency, you have a problem.

He's going to look good sitting on someone's bench in a sweater.
