Plumlee and Favors have been moved at the cost of a pick.  Doesn't seem like the trade market for Tristan Thompson will be terribly strong.

Great trade by OKC.

Disappointing to see Utah lose their backup center to Gobert. And they lost a 1st round pick on top of that. Favors was good in that role for them. It'll be interesting to see how well (or badly) Utah do replacing Favors in free agency.

Favors gets to be a starter again. Replace Horford as starting center in OKC. That could be a fun team to play on with SGA and Giddey creating easy shots for him.

If Favors had the ability to even be a useful starter on a bad team, he would not have been moved with a 1st with one year at the MLE remaining.

Sounds like this is what Utah needed to do in order for them to have space to sign Conley without going into the tax.  Makes sense.  I imagine they believe the pick will be late first round.

Favors has 2 years left, $9.7 and $10.2 (second year is player options which you expect he would take).  Would he be a better fit for us than Thompson?  Favors is slightly better in core stats per36 and higher percentage FG and FT.  Both age 30.  I guess probably not.

If Lonzo Ball somehow winds up with the C's, do we consider him the third star for this team?  He's going to probably be north of $20M per year.

"Still just 23 years old, the UCLA product is coming of a season in which he set career-highs in points (14.6), field goal percentage (41%), 3-point percentage (39%) and free throw percentage (78%)."

Yes, and I like the idea that he doesn't hog the ball. I'm starting to warm up to this idea.

He'd be a good fit:

OKC has essentially become a bank.

Interesting that our TT trade was quite a bit different to the Plumlee and Favors deals. We didn't send out any picks, received a future 2nd and got the younger players.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)

Actually not that interesting. The Cs took back 7 million in useless contracts while Detroit and Utah took back nothing and cleared cap space

Doesn't that save us over 2 million?
