I’ll always appreciate his hustle and grit, but the fact that people think this guy can be our starting point guard going forward is nothing but laughable.
I’ll continue to beat the dead horse and say that Marcus’ best suited position is at the PG spot. He is at his best on offense when he gets in the paint, allows the defense to collapse. That’s where he shines the most with nifty passes and tough finishes. A decent amount of and ones and he’s good at finding the open man in that setting.
Shooting Guard doesn’t suit him as that should be a scoring position and, of course, a shooting position. If (and a big if for me) we are keeping Smart, his best, most bearable position for us is and has always been at the PG slot.
