That tells half the story.

The next gif should be him shooting an air ball with 18 seconds left on the shot clock.

I've always been partial to this one:

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I’ll always appreciate his hustle and grit, but the fact that people think this guy can be our starting point guard going forward is nothing but laughable.

For me what I was trying to convey with this clip is how Marcus is an all or nothing type of player.

He originally dives for the ball with no regard for his well-being…but in doing so, he actually leaves the team defence exposed and almost is responsible for an easy bucket for Portland but that same all or nothing attitude gets him a steal and the Celtics the ball back.

On any given play, on offense or defence, his recklessness can be a positive or a negative for the Celtics.

Going forward?  Preferably not.

For next season?  What’s a better option?

All these aspects of Marcus are true. But if we have Brown Tatum, Horford, plus a decent starting PF or Swing, I think we will be just fine with Smart as the PG.  Our problem or weakness is not Marcus, it is the lack of a PF.

I'll give him a chance as the starting PG this year, but he should be on an incredibly short leash. If his increasingly bad habits continue to get worse he should be pulled.
2023 No Top 75 Fantasy Draft Los Angeles Clippers
PG: Dennis Johnson / Jo Jo White / Stephon Marbury
SG: Sidney Moncrief / World B. Free
SF: Chris Mullin / Ron Artest
PF: Detlef Schrempf / Tom Chambers / Buck Williams
C: Ben Wallace / Andrew Bynum

I dunno, I really fear our lack of dribble penetration with Smart as the starting guard. It's something Kemba was really good at. Kyrie was pretty good at it too, but his elite shooting was a real difference maker too.

Although, if the Jays make another step in their progression it doesn't matter too much
