I don't see anything to complain about with any of his comments (other than, yeah, it would've been nice to hear him shout out Jaylen there). Especially where he got more votes than Kyrie but Kyrie made the 3rd team for positional reasons that I don't even really understand.
Hopefully, he's looking at Julius Randle and understands that if the Celtics had been the 4th seed Tatum probably makes one of those teams. If he wants those accolades, they come to players whose teams win games.
People keep mentioning Jaylen. Can Jayson breath without needing to include Jaylen? It's starting to take on a weird little brother dynamic where their parents are forcing him to take him everywhere he goes.
And I don't think Tatum needs to look to Randle. Jayson has been apart of more winning seasons and playoff basketball in his 4 year career than Randle has in 7 years.
I don't disagree with what you're saying. I don't fault Tatum for not bringing up Jaylen, just that it would've been nice to shout out his teammate there.
And when I say look to Randle, I more mean: Look at what got Randle on the All NBA 2nd Team. The Knicks won more games. Tatum is talking about wanting some kind of criteria, the criteria includes numbers, obviously, but if Tatum's team had won more games I think there's no question he would've made All NBA. I hope that's the lesson he takes away from this: If you want people to notice how good you are your team has to win.
