Cs trade Tristen Thompson and Marcus Smart to the Magic for Mo Bamba and the 8th pick in the draft.

Dont need Bamba with TimeLord & Moses on board..plus Bamba hasn’t really done anything yet with Orlando

Bamba is salary filler / takin’ a flier. The pick is the motivation.

we need better than filler and pick for TT and Smart especially since Smart is now our starting PG

I think if you’re hopping for more that a top 10 pick and a former lottery pick on an expiring contract for Smart and Thompson, you’re mistaken. I get not liking the deal — but I don’t think the value is far off.

they're not netting you the 8th pick in the draft.  no way Orlando would think about it.  also, we could use vet players to boost the team's production, not another rookie we need to develop

How many lottery picks has Orlando had in recent years? How well have they done with 'em? How many do they have this year? Think it's possible they'd rather have Marcus Smart (and hope to resign him) and Thompson than another one that's AFTER they've already picked at 6? I do.

As for what the Cs need: think it's possible Stevens really likes a guy in particular in the mid-lottery? Again, I do.
