I thought this was going to be about bringing Mo Wagner back!

This is way better. I'd love Kyle Anderson here. Either as a starter or a key reserve combo forward. He is really good as a glue guy.

He's interesting because he can handle the ball and make plays, but the claim that we need depth there is hard to understand. We have a traffic jam at the 2/3 spot, even if we don't resign Fournier.

We NEED Langford and/or Nesmith to become highly productive, to say nothing of what we do with Smart and Fournier. If we ever get a real power forward, that pushes Jaylen back towards the 2 guard spot. We absolutely would be wasting someone if we signed Anderson.

At 6'9 230 with a 7'3 ws Anderson is a 3/4 and would be a great option to start along wide Tatum and Brown. I really like the size and versatility those three would bring to the wings for the Cs.

Agreed. He’s a steady hand. The kind of player that makes the game easier for the stars.
Not the big name we envision bit i bet his wins/dollar ratio is pretty solid.
Then go get Franz Wagner or Giddey(sp), move kemba to the 6th man role and go win 50.

in a vacuum, he would seem to be the type of player we'd want for improving the team's depth.  question becomes what we'd have to give up to get him as well as what's the expectations for retaining him after his contract ends after this season.

I think I remember seeing him on a fast break in the Memphis Utah playoff series. It was probably the worst excuse for a fast break that I have ever seen in the NBA. It reminder me of seeing two 5 year old's just learning how to play, where the kid with the ball is walking and watching the ball as he's dribbling, while the defender is watching in awe and doesn't want to disturb him.

If I remember correctly, Reggie Miller was calling the game and it made him laugh because of how slow and uncomfortable the fast break was.

I think I remember seeing him on a fast break in the Memphis Utah playoff series. It was probably the worst excuse for a fast break that I have ever seen in the NBA. He’s earned his nickname, that’s for certain.  But he’s quite useful in a half-court offense and on defense.  Leave the fast breaks for the J’s.

I'm not someone who would want Anderson, but improved passing can come from anyone who can earn playing time. If Nesmith or Langford or Tristan Thompson or Semi could improve their passing a bit, it would all help. For example, if Anderson took Semi's minutes, it would be an improvement in ball flow.

It’s not purely a numbers thing.  Anderson was effectively the PG at UCLA.  He has a longer reputation of being able to be a secondary ball-handler/running an offense than do Tatum and particularly Brown.

To be fair Anderson is a really nice passing wing, he just isn't asked to be a creator for the Grizzlies that much, which brings down his assist rate.

I've always really, really liked SlowMo. 

I think he offers a lot of things that the Celts need.
