Spoelstra would be a great fit to coach this Celtics team. I'd love to see an NBA coach  demand to be traded for once instead of a star player.

The new coach is whoever Jayson Tatum wants —- plain and simple. If he’s not on board then that person isn’t getting hired.

absolutely!! both JT and JB must be on board.

So basically it will be his cousin Ty Lue then?

Cousin?

Per league sources, #Nets assistant coach Mike D’Antoni is receiving interest for the #Blazers, #Celtics and #Magic HC jobs. The Nets will grant interview requests for D’Antoni — following the playoffs.

Its too bad Clippers got to Lue first. Because he would have been a good hire

No he would not have been.

Speculation from NBA radio hosts this afternoon: Jason Kidd has taken his name out of the running in Portland where Billups is expected to be hired as the Trailblazers next head coach once the process moves forward. Speculation piece of this is that Kidd took his name out of contention because he already knows he will be the Celtics head coach.

Please no.

If he already knows then what are they waiting for? The Lakers offseason has already begun.

Also this nugget

Kidd reportedly had issues with Jabari Parker
And apparently, the two had reached a boiling point.

Kidd and Parker weren’t speaking prior to his dismissal, according to both ESPN’s Ryen Russillo and The Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps, who wrote there were issues between Kidd and the recovering Parker:

Parker hasn’t played because he’s been recovering from a second torn ACL. But when healthy, he’s easily the second-most talented player on Milwaukee’s roster behind The Greek Freak.

You never want to be on non-speaking terms with one of your team’s best players.

Kidd took his name out of the running for Portland because he doesn't want to coach a rebuild, and behind the scenes that is where it looks like Portland is heading.

Anyone know anything else about Jarron Collins? I know he was the worse Collins brother as a player, but they both went to Stanford and several inside the Warriors organization said glowing things about his defensive schemes.

I am no fan of Kidd, just him beating up his wife should have him out of the running but at that time Jabari’s attitude was horrible. He was overweight didn’t track back on defence and because he had a good rookie year statistically was upset the Bucks wanted to build around Giannis.

There is a reason Parker has moved around so much, even with his injury history.

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

What is all this that I hear on Felger and Mazz that Tatum loves Jay Larranaga and that he is now the betting favorite in Vegas?
