Kemba Walker for John Wall....I’m not a huge fan of Wall, but I’d prefer him over Kemba going forward. He’s 6’3”, 210 pounds, a better passer (Career 9+ assists per game)and not a complete liability on defense. 3pt shooting is a few percentage points lower, but his FG% is a few points higher. Better at getting to the rim. He’s also a slightly younger than Kemba. Both are injury prone.

Starting lineup of Wall, Smart, Brown, Tatum, Timelord or.. Wall, Fournier, Brown, Tatum, Timelord could be interesting... Not winning with Kemba, so might as well roll the dice and try something different.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

No...same player.

^ this.

Injuries and all.

Can't we grab D.Rose on the cheap instead? I feel he's the same player too, but cheaper, no? I'd rather have that. More upside.

All in for D Rose..former MVP of the league....and I really mean Kemba and Wall is the same person. Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time? LOL

Other than the fact that they are both frequently injured, how are they the same?

I'd rather have Westbrook than Wall.

Injuries does knock it home, but I meant primary ball-handlers in facilitating roles that can still go off for 30 points every 10 or so games?

I used to confuse them for one another at one point.

how bout Kemba for Big Al... works on the trade machine.
don't know how it helps OKC because Horford is an albatros contract and they want to rebuild but maybe if we add a future second rounder will make em agree.

Horford I think is a not as injury prone as Kemba is and was just shut down for the season but under BS he can still be a viable 12- 15 ppg backing up Timelord...we can then just ship TT elsewhere.

As for the void at PG, well MS has been pretty effective in that role tbh as long as he limits his chucking from 3...Kemba aint a facilitating PG anyways but a scoring PG but is now often injured and will be limited to injuries.

I've been thinking about this option too.  Someone stated that Wall and Kemba are the same caliber of defender, and i disagree.  Wall is 6'3" with a 6'9" wingspan.  Kemba doesn't come close to this.  When those Wizards teams were in the playoffs Wall was a great perimeter defender.  I would miss Kemba's shooting, but I think Wall's defense, passing, and penetration skills would give him the nod.  It would be a gamble, but it's one i would take.

1) I think Rose has played his way into a pretty decent contract with his play this year, which is more than I'd suspect his value is (although props to him for making it back from injury).
2) I was going to say John Wall is much younger, but somehow he's already 30. Time is a weird thing.

Wall makes almost 10 million more per year. That alone seems like a difficult thing to accept.

He's also been even less reliable physically, but assuming he could come back and play roughly as much as Kemba, he would be a better fit.

The on court comparisons here are a bit off. He has always been a plus defender and he's big and physical, so he'd almost certainly be a major upgrade on defense. He isn't much of a 3 point shooter so that would be a negative, but he's a dramatically better passer. He's always been a significantly better player than Kemba. But given his massive contract, it likely would be a no.

I think the play style is pretty different. Wall's signature is his speed - when he's on he's devastating in transition or a semi-fastbreak before the defense is fully set. Just takes the ball upcourt and right to the rim without even slowing down,  gets his shot.

I can't remember his 1/2 court game as well, but Wall has 9 assists/game for his career and Kemba 5, so it's a little hard to say they play the same.

So just ignore that Wall still is a significantly less efficient scorer, a worse rebounder, only slightly, if slightly better defender but makes $91 million over the next two years to Kemba's $63 million, which could be only $36 million if Kemba opts out of his last year?

Hard pass on Wall.
