Haven't posted in a while, but let's face it, no one is beating the Nets this year, unless Durant gets hurt and can't play! He's back to being the games best player! Maybe in two years we'll be ready to contend for a title!

I am looking forward to the next couples of series. The Bucks have defenders who at least have a chance to slow down the Nets - Giannis on KD, Jrue on Kyrie, Middleton on Harden - and who do the Nets have that can do anything (at all) to slow down Giannis and Middleton?  Also thinking ahead to a series against Philly. If Embiid's conditioning and desire are there, he could (easily) score an efficient 40-50 against the Nets every night.

I am not saying the Nets are going to lose - just that I wouldn't write them down as champs yet.

it could get interesting! I think the East is a much tougher conference than the West this year!

I see two issues with the Celtics matching up with the Nets.  First the obvious is that the Nets have far more top end talent.  The Celtics simply don't have the fire power to keep up.  If they had Brown and Walker, it is closer but without these two, it is literally JV vs. Varsity.

The other thing about the Celtics is that their roster is not put together to take advantage of the one weakness that Nets have.  That weakness is size or bigs.  MIL and PHI both have size (as do the Lakers when Davis is healthy).  MIL and PHI can't match the Nets in scoring but their size may be something they can exploit.  No one is going to beat the Nets Guard for Guard or Wing for Wing but they can be beat big for big, just not the Celtics.

I would double Giannis and Middleton, and make the other guys beat me, if I were the Nets coach!

Like to hear from the Kyrie apologists that defended his sage burning. Why don’t you go ahead and defend him stumping on the Celtic logo. Go ahead!!
Getting upset because a moronic, narcissistic, immature idiot like Kyrie burnt the dried up leaves of a shrub in the Garden might be the stupidest thing I have ever heard of.

Yes, burning sage is an important Native American ritual, but so is doing the sign of the cross for Christians. Are we supposed to get all nuts when an opponent does that in the Garden? Or how about throwing powder in the air before games? Or any other of the crazy pre game ritual stuff players do?

As for a dolt like Kyrie wiping his feet on the logo, he is following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Terrell Owens and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Is everyone supposed to get angry because Kyrie stepped on the Celtics home court logo, the thing every opponent does during games? Is the team supposed to tell the NBA there will be no jump ball at center court because jumping up and down on the Leprechaun is disrespectful? To react to what Kyrie did is stooping down into the same immaturity and idiocy as Kyrie, Owens and JuJu.

I'm actually proud our team didn't react to that ridiculous act in a violent manner as some here have suggested. You want to avenge such pathetic, attention seeking acts like that, don't engage in petty, violent revenge that is going to get you suspended from playing......beat your opponents and knock them out of the playoffs.

defending Kyrie Irving might be the stupidest thing I have heard of. After everything the guy has done to keep rationalizing his behavior.  To some the guy just can’t do any wrong.

Yeah I just don't understand. The way he promised to re-sign with the Celtics, stalled, and then left the organization was one thing. Then him randomly bringing up racism in a Game 3 playoff game to influence the Celtics and burning sage in previous meeting were next level stuff. Finally, him stomping on the logo center-court? I sure hope every Celtics fans do not respect/defend this pouting child anymore.

Not defending Kyrie. I described him and his actions in the fitting derogatory ways they deserved. Just pointing out that responding to such childish behavior like you desire is childish.

actually you said stupid not childish. Another poster calling sports fans childish. Watching and supporting a child’s game and posting about it on the internet is childish so if that cap fits, wear it.

That leaves one guy trying to defend Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez and Bryn Forbes. With how bad the Brooklyn defenders are I do not think that strategy would work.

Stupid too.

Listen, Kyrie had a bottle thrown at him. Should he have reciprocated? No, because it would be dumb.

Kyrie acted like a spoiled, immature, narcissistic, idiot in calling out racism in Boston. What was the best response? Jaylen's thoughtful and intelligent message he sent out. You respond to stupidity with intelligence. You respond to immaturity with maturity.

The best way to avenge what Kyrie did, is go out and win the next 3 games. Win the series on Brooklyn's homecourt. That's how you respond. You don't respond with violence or getting into a public Twitter war with the moron. You go out and beat him.

You want it both ways that is what sounds stupid.

You want to chastise people that call him out, and then say you are not defending him. Then you unload on him virulently. Stay in one lane.

Brooklyn has no one to guard Brook Lopez. He can average 20-25 points a game against the Nets. The Bucks have weapons at every position. There is no one to double off of. The Nets aren't good defensively and have only one ( Durant) maybe two plus defenders. The Bucks start 5 plus defenders. The Nets will score but The Bucks can put 130-140 themselves. I still hope Boston has another couple of wins in them. The Nets beating up on a depleted Celtics team isn't the same as the Bucks kicking the crap out of a fully healthy ( Sans Olidipo) squad.

I liked Tatum and Marcus 's comments on bottlegate.
