Best Offseason Plan I can think of (Realistic)

I can't remember our TPE details but getting Nance for our 1st would be awesome. He can pass, shoot and defend at a high level at both forward positions.

I'd love to try and pry Jonas V and De'Anthony Melton away from Memphis somehow. Maybe send Kemba to New York, Toppin and a future New York 1st to Memphis, and a prospect + 1st to Memphis from us? That's my dream!

Our TPE is just enough to get Nance, which is what I've been pushing for recently. If we could trade #16 for Nance and get Plumlee from Detroit for TT and a 2nd or two I'd be delighted. Add a guy like Uncle Jeff via the taxpayer's MLE, re-sign Fournier and our roster will have no excuses to not make a deep playoff run barring injuries (yes sack Brad Stevens if game 3 turns out to be an anomaly in his new normality):

SG: Jaylen, Fournier, Langford/Nesmith
SF: Tatum, Langford/Nesmith, Semi
PF: Nance, Uncle Jeff, Grant

They make a number of weird moves. Try and trick them into the allure of a FRP.

Simmons is a superstar in my book. It's just that he's a terrible fit alongside Embiid. I fully believe he'd transform into a dominant 2-way player if he were playing close to the basket. Imagine him playing off the ball in the half court, setting picks on the perimeter and then rolling hard to the basket.

Philly is in win-now mode. Four picks may be an overpay, but we'd probably have to overpay a bit if the deal is centered around Smart and Fournier. I mean, chances are Philly can find better win-now packages.

I agree he's a terrible fit in Philly and I think the whole league knows this, that's why I can't see this type of high asking price; IMO being such a poor shooter (he's even getting dramatically worse in free throws) in today game is a showstopper unless you have Shaq level of dominance. At the end of the day, they would trade away a 35mln/year player which does not fit their #1 star nor play in 4th quarters for two solid players who could be either starters or 6th/7th man; that alone is not a bad return by itself. He could blossom outside of Philly and I see the case of him being worth a risk, but if it goes wrong then it could become a nightmare for years to come

I just don't buy it.  They might move Nance, but they aren't giving him away as they really like him and his contract is good.  They also don't need more young players.  They want to push towards relevancy.

I don’t know what the moves end up being but I think the Cs  need to use all their tools at this disposal this offseason. They have several TPEs that are expiring this summer and the MLE.

From a priorities standpoint this offseason, from my perspective:

1. re-sign Fournier
2. Trade/sign a PF/Swing who can help stretch floor
3. Trade/sign PG who can initiate offense and have smaller role scoring wise
4. Use MLE to bolster bench as needed

I know the luxury tax is a concern but from my understanding it where you end up at the end of the season and not the beginning that matters (for the capologists out there, please correct me if I am wrong). I’d go into the season with TT on the roster as insurance and make moves during the year. I fully expect Beal to not extend with WAS making Cs prime candidates to trade for him in season (considering I think Boston would be on his preferred list of options).

I’d only do it considering Timelords extensive injury history and Horford’s age. Not saying don’t trade him but the insurance would be nice. Unless they trade TT for another big.

I'd be pretty comfortable with Brown as the reserve in case of Timelord getting hurt.

Their numbers are eerily similar. Brown did everything better besides passing, but it's all fairly marginal gaps - except for rebounding, which Brown was much better at. Both average-ish defenders, but Brown had more counting stats (due to his enormous size as much as anything).
