  • Everybody knows what's best for you
Shout out to Evan Fournier. 30pts, team high 8 assists, 11-16 from the field 7-11 from 3pt. I know it’s not going to happen, but the C’s would be so much better off with a Smart, Fournier, Brown, Tatum, Timelord starting lineup. Kemba as a 6th man so other teams can’t exploit him as much defensively.

I'm happy for Evan after a rough start with the Cs, but he absolutely torched one of my two fantasy teams this week (both in the Finals). I had him all season on the Magic and with the Cs - even past his Covid period - but I finally had to drop him for someone more productive. I needed him to have low FG%, low assists, and high turnovers. Today couldn't have gone worse - oh well, lol. EDIT: Just checked my transactions and I dropped Fournier for Landry Shamet on 4/29 (who I dumped a couple of days later)...haha, epic fail!

As for the Cs, as a whole...yikes. We really need Jaylen back, and for TL to actually play full games.

Aaron Nesmith is such a baller.

Celtics will probably have to package Jaylen Brown to get someone like Towns. Nesmith's development makes that idea seem less painful.

I like Nesmith's progress, but how many games has he been putting up good numbers?  10-12?  maybe 15?
That doesn't make Jaylen more trade-able.

Tatum makes Jaylen more trade-able. Nesmiths just a nice piece to the puzzle. Develop that talent all day. Same with Pritchard.

dude you completely lost me there....so since we have one all-star, we should trade the other one? lol
omg

You don’t have to trade anyone. Especially when you hit with players like Tatum & Brown.

But you definitely can move Jaylen for someone who fits better around Tatum’s game. That’s the puzzle you have to figure out in any trade. If there isn’t something out there you obviously just roll with the Brown /Tatum combo.

It might be Smart that is moved. I’d personally see what either could bring back.

Kemba, Smart, Fournier, Pritchard, Nesmith, Brown, Tatum, Thompson, R. Williams.....pretty good nucleus to build around for your championship team. There is more work to be done but it’s a solid group with youth everywhere.

But obviously that nucleus isn't working this year. Several players need to go. Coaches need to go too.

It isn’t working because of health, Covid, and sporadic changes left and right. Tough to have consistency in that type of season.

I'm not too fussed about it anymore...this is the level where they are at. Until they develop the mental strength to put in maximum effort every time they get on the floor this is who they are. A team that can beat anyone when they are switched on, and a team that can lose to anyone when they are switched off. And they are switched off more often than not. If they don't take the starts of games seriously especially defensively because they feel they can catch up whenever, then they'll keep getting burned.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

So if we beat Miami next game, and assuming we sweep the last remaining games, we get #6 by virtue of the tiebreaker right?

I believe we are two games behind the Heat. So we'd have to win out and The heat would have two loose two.
