Nesmith had a heck of a game!

I still can’t figure an accurate best case comparison for Aaron though. Most draft guides had Buddy Hield as player Nesmith resembles but I don’t believe that to be true. Hield is more like a poor man’s Harden, where I can see shades of Tony Snell (floor comp), Klay Thompson, Reggie Miller & perhaps Allan Houston in Nesmith.

I’d like to know what player(s) fellow CelticsStrong bloggers believe most resembles Nesmith.

He played like mini KG/Rodman yesterday

Overall... I would compare Nesmith to peak Danny Green

He, he,...I too was thinking Allan Houston, if his shot shows up more consistently.  Thing is, he's much more athletic than Houston so probably a better defender and rebounder.

This guy is one of the few on the roster who gives energy and effort 100% of the time. He deserves minutes just for that. Surprised that he has a lot of DNP-Coaches decision. Makes no sense to me.

If for nothing more than to see if we have or haven't wasted another first round pick.
Yup

I watched most of Nesmith's college videos....he has stepped it up quite a bit in the NBA.

He'll be playing the next year with "too many fouls" but, he lasted most of the second half tonight with 5.

If he keeps doing what he's doing defensively, it's a no brainer to play him.  So his shooting is not consistent (yet).  Semi and Langford miss lots of shots.

Back to back games with career highs on points. Way to go for the rookie.

Playing well.  He looks really confident out there.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Also, no turnovers tonight.

The reality is... you dont see such a slow/lost start by a Rookie. Turn out like this .... in the same season.  Shortened season

Good for Nesmith

He was not getting playing time and that was the problem. You have to play these kids extended minutes to get comfortable. You cannot give them a short leash.
