Robert Williams (toe) has been upgraded to probable for Sunday's game against the Heat, Chris Grenham of Forbes Sports reports.

On Friday, it was reported that Williams was without a timetable for a return and that coach Brad Stevens didn't know if the center would be available for the final week of the regular season. That's apparently changed, as Williams is likely to play as soon as Sunday. There's a chance he re-joins the starting five, which would push Tristan Thompson back to the bench and give Luke Kornet a reduced role.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Does anyone aside from me wonder about Jaylen's knee and how he plays the game.  The jarring of his body, nor the take off while completing one of his monster slams can't be great, and I wonder if some of that is affecting his knee.

Saw this in one article I was reading while researching this topic:  The article was "Pay slam-dunk attention to knee and ankle injuries" and the line that caught my attention was "The mechanism in basketball can still be the common “plant and twist,” but additional forces related to lower leg position come into play as a result of jumping mechanics."
"There's sharks and minnows in this world. If you don't know which you are, you ain't a shark."

You're probably not the only one, but given that Jaylen is out due to a freak collision with Tatum a week ago, I'm not sure how is knee is relevant to why he's out.

He ends up on the ground too much for my taste which really jars your body and is hard on you.  Add this that he never gets the calls.

Just throw in the white towel already before somebody else goes out with another season-ending injury.

I wouldn't be surprised if they all sat. Last two games are meaningless.

Or this 2 games may be a last chance audition for some... I don't know if Carsen put 40 points like in NCAA tournament, maybe he has one more year here  :D

Evan Fournier says since getting the first shot of vaccine, his long COVID symptoms are getting much better. But he is still feeling the symptoms a bit, especially during warmups. He is still waiting to get his second shot and hopes he'll be back to 100% then.

Good news from Brad Stevens on Robert Williams: "“Rob went through part of our practice yesterday and looked pretty good" He's still out today, but that's encouraging

On Tuesday vs. Miami he just dropped the ball on consecutive possessions to start the second half — it made me wonder how his recovery was going.

I think we'll have to wait until the game to see whether Rob is actually able to effectively play and help out. Turf toe is a lingering thing, and easy to aggravate, so it wouldn't shock me to see Rob start but then play only 5 minutes (though I certainly hope the toe doesn't bother him).

Game-time decision on Timelord, but he practiced today and last Friday IIRC.

Brad Stevens says everybody practiced and Robert Williams will likely be a game-time decision tomorrow night. Everyone else looked good and "you could tell that our guys were locked in and ready to practice and ready to prepare for tomorrow's game."
