Sandro Mamukelashvili is basically a 6'11" point guard. He could be a good pick at 45.

OMG!
How is this dude not going in the first round?
That would be due to his wild inconsistency. Inefficient from both 2 and 3 for someone his size, bad at rebounding and defence and very turnover prone. When he's on he looks gold, but he's too inconsistent to be a FRP.
Good low-end starter potential though
Good
So that he drops to 45
Livers or Pons or this dude are my picks
Mmmmm Livers and Pons sound delicious! There is some really solid talent at 45 either way. Pons is an athletic freak but really raw.
I'm not huge on Pons. Freak athlete but no real game-sense, and has no offensive ability of note. Our bench doesn't need another Semi
In general I agree with your Pons take but in that this teams needs more balanced basketball players coming off the bench. What keeps endearing me to the Pons at #45 idea is his unique combination of length, explosiveness, and timing on defense. Watching Pons play he stands out for his explosiveness if he can be coached up into a 3-D role and made into a better perimeter defender he could be a real weapon off the bench in the playoffs.
I admit that I would find it hard to pass on a safer pick like Grimes at #45 but I can absolutely see a good team drafting him as a project in the first half of the second round.
I think Pons won't be ready to play for at least a year if not two or three. He's a project. I would take Wieskamp, Grimes, Kessler Edwards, Tre Mann, Christopher, Queta, Maker, Jokubaitis, Duke, and maybe Marcus Garrett over Pons. Pons is the kind of guy I would've liked 5 or 6 years ago.
