If Kornet was a throw in. This is big

We now have a guy who can guard Boban, Jokic, Embiid type monsters ... not shutdown but better than undersized bigs getting elbowed to the face

Tacko should see some more mins also

Tacko throws a monkey wrench into a teams plan ... him just standing there is a problem in itself .     He is great for short bursts to  disrupt the opponent’s offense flow for a moment ,  it usually forces hero ball out of Lebrun types to play a one on one game against Tacko.

Kornet only played the 4th quarter tonight, and was +21.

If I'm doing the math right, if he played all four quarters, he would have been +84.  Kudos to Brad for being sportsmanlike and limiting the damage for OKC; it just wouldn't seem fair to beat up on opponents by 80 or 90 points.

Tacko is a change of pace in small minutes. But we also have Kornet who's also huge. Kornet is 6 inches taller than Theis. 6 inches is still 6 inches.

I love how all the “experts”:questioned these pickups.  Ainge got us two things we desperately needed...more shooting off the bench and bigs.  If these guys gel this team is gonna be good...really good.

Yeah sometimes the opponent s exploit the starters ,  especially with Theis being smallish,  and would just drive and dunk at will seemingly uncontested and would run a way with a lead and we had no answer other than Smart s bravery.  Stick Tacko in the middle , to stop this mindset and move the ball back outside and make em beat you with jumpers .  Then take him out .  Before the stars decide to one on one him like GA did in the Bucks game.  Other than the the LeBron types or Harden , Irving , I see Tackos obvious disruption of the second tier level nba players when he guards the paint.   with the two new bigs , Tacko finally has somebody to practice against ...LOL

Mo might've been the throw in....

I definitely assumed that Kornet was included to offset Theis' incoming salary for CHI, and that Mo was the target; but I guess we'll find out for sure when one of them gets cut in the coming days/weeks for a buy-out.

I have only one observation about this post deadline...

"Invasion on of the bigs."

Tacko for, I believe, the first time in his NBA career played in two straight games and the Celtics won both.

Moritz Wagner arrives and plays in his first two games on the roster? Two Celtics victories.

Luke becomes a Celtic, enters his first game, takes two threes hits them both...victory.

I rest my case.

I totally agree.  Edwards offers nothing.  All his potential minutes should go to Nesmith, Langford, or Waters.  Keep Kornet.

Where are all those Kornet haters????

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
if you are talking about those posters who had questions ("hate" is hyperbole and too often tossed about as a word here) about his skills and abilities because his career to date shows he has serious flaws....

we are all still here.  ;D

and if kornet works out and defies his past performance, we will all cheer him on over a dish of nicely broiled crow.  ;D

so, let's watch him and see how he does beyond a handful of minutes as a celtic.

Well if you heard Coach Stevens talk, it’s obvious they’ve wanted Kornet for awhile. Good pick and roll defender, good outside shooter.

Fits this team perfectly.

Even though his salary is small, there is just no way we are going to cut Edwards' now and eat his salary for next year when we have other 3rd string expirings on the roster. The Cs probably have an idea of who'd they like to keep between Wagner/Kornet, so we will see if they deem anybody worthy of a buy-out signing. If not, seems like kind-of a waste to dump Theis for two worse players who are also expiring. The plan in trading Theis has to be a buy-out.
