It’s basically ball movement vs 1 on 1 basketball right now. Utah is such a fun team to watch. How I wish the Celts could even come close to having ball movement like that.

Generally agree but tonight our ball movement better than usual.

It's still awful. Just plain bad basketball and Stevens' stands over there like a monk.
All you have to do is contrast the Celts on offense vs Utah.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Danny - WE NEED GUYS THAT CAN HIT OPEN THREES!!!!! Enough of Grant, Teague, Ojeleye!!!  Just find some of those guys who can hit a 3!!!! It is so obvious what this team is and has been lacking.  Stop hoarding your binkies.

He drafted best 3 point shooter in college.

He drafted 3 of the best three point shooters in college basket ball. Traded one, Won't lay one, got no shots tonight for one. Clean sweep.

Utah is just the better team. Very well-coached and they play very well together. And Mitchell is a stud.

Will be fun rooting for them in the West.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Celtics - 4 FTs.  Utah - 24.  that's horrid officiating.  teams played an equally physical game.

I was screaming for shooters on draft night but just cause you draft them doesn't mean you play them...

Shooters, shooters, shooters....

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Semi - 19 minutes, 0 points
Teague - 10 minutes, 0 points
GWill - 17 minutes, 2 points

A combined 46 minutes for those guys and their stat line is 2 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists. -11.

It'd be nice to have a supporting cast that was the caliber of Utah's. It'd be lovely.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle

Danny can fix this.

Tell Stevens to take the IU job. Hire a pro coach.

Then, pull his head out of his ass and trade Walker, put in a playmaking PG, get a center and some spot shooters who play within the team's offense.

Sucks to lose, but they were in the game the whole time against the best team in the West.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Good thing Nesmith and Pritchard got no shots this game. We might've lost....
