I've been saying it for 4 years but we need shooting.

Not shooting on the bench or shooters that get no shots.

Smart is not a shooter.

Danny can fix this.

Tell Stevens to take the IU job. Hire pro coach.

Then, pull his head out of his ass and trade Walker, put in a playmaking PG, get a center and some spot shooters who play within the team's offense.

Who's the coach you'd hire? The fire Stevens Brigade love to call for his hiring but rarely name who they think should take over. I'm really curious has to who's out there that can come in and magically transform this team.

Was brad everyone’s first choice when doc left?  It’s a weak argument.  Give any coach a shot and they may surprise you.  There’s umpteen assistant coaches in the nba a that would probably love a job.  Brad has not and probably never will be able to figure out how to coach on the nba level.  He has zero clue what to do with the talent he gets.  That said some of it falls on the players not doing their jobs.  Maybe a more definitive coach would fix that.

Good thing Nesmith and Pritchard got no shots this game. We might've lost....

The fact that we're hoping 2 rookies can save us just magnifies how thirsty we are for quality role players.

Imagine Harrison Barnes or Aaron Gordon or Norman Powell taking up minutes from Grant and Semi tonight?
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

You could try to get those two shooters shots or you could just keep doing this.... Miami rode a rookie all the way to the finals last year. Some coaches play rookies.

Your right you could have 4 shooters on the floor with Smart and he'd still jack up 2-10 and have 1 assist.

You mean even Steven? Other than that? Or does he need more time or a training camp?

Utah showing why they're such a good team.  Good ball movement, good scoring balance, well-coached.

This loss wasn't a coaching loss. The guys in the game not named Theis, Brown, Tatum, Kemba and Timelord were awful on offense. A massive net negative offensively for the game. And the team defense as a whole can't decide to fall apart for long periods in the 4th quarter.

Just gotta play better.

Absolutely a coaching loss. Brad chooses who plays that day and how much they play. 46 minutes for Teague, Semi and GWill, 2 points. To start the 4th, when the game turned for us, he put out Teague, Williams, Theis, Smart and JB. That is a terrible lineup. Teague and Williams are offensively black holes, Theis had been murdered all game trying to guard the perimeter, Smart when playing with scrubs plays like an idiot, and JB panics when he knows if he passes nothing good can happen. What was Brad thinking? That's entirely on him. Why does PP get on the floor for 3 minutes in the first, then gets sat until 4th quarter and thrown in there cold? Idiotic.

It wasn't anyone's first choice because he wasn't on anyone's radar. For a guy that doesn't "can't figure out how to coach on the NBA level" there's guys with more NBA assistant experience that couldn't dream of getting us anywhere near 3 EFC appearances in 4 years. I recall some posters wondering if we should take one of the Van Gundy's or such after Doc jumped ship, but Danny took a coach no one expected instead running through the usual retreads. Because, and this next part is shocking, an NBA GM has a firmer grasp on his team than anonymous internet posters.

It's a process or some other cliche... Call out your players Brad!!!! Get a tech....  Sub in a guy who wants to play hard all game. Put a dang shooter on the floor to spread it out for Tatum and Brown....

Oh, never mind...

on to the next one.
